I’ve been telling everyone for months that 5:30pm is the new 8:00pm when it comes to dinner reservations in New York and felt vindicated last week when an article backed me up. Although they said 6:00pm is the new 8:00pm but close enough. We split the difference and settled on 7pm dinner tonight at @waverlyinn. I told @andrewbrownid that I hadn’t been there in years and the woman at the table behind us said the same thing when she sat down. But I also feel like the classics are making a comeback especially the ones that have a cozy vibe for fall and winter. I love living uptown but even I have to admit that the West Village has the best restaurants.
