It is remarkable that inanimate seawater can sculpt forms of almost professional quality in shore rock, as witness this outstretched open-palmed hand in dry inter-tidal rock almost beseeching and supplicating the low-tide ocean out yonder to return and fill the hollow of its sun-roasted palm with water. The beach here is bizarre, beautiful, breathtaking - almost a breathing being. Seashore adjacent to Rushikonda Mountain, Rushikonda Beach, Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh. Circa the year 2008.
