ok this pastel perfume puzzle game is living in my browser tab rent free
so I found this little puzzle game and now I open it every time I need five minutes of quiet.
it's called Aroma Atelier — you're sorting pastel-colored aroma liquids between bottles until each bottle is a single solid color, which "completes" a perfume. no install, no account, just click the link and you're in.
sounds easy. it is easy... until it isn't, and then you're sitting there staring at seven bottles trying to figure out which one to pour first.
the actual gameplay loop
here's the whole idea: bottles hold a mix of pastel liquids, you move liquid between bottles, and when a bottle is one solid color, that's a finished perfume. clear every bottle, level's done.
the trap is moving without a plan. you'll pour something into a bottle and immediately regret it because now you're stuck. figuring out the right order before you touch anything is basically the whole game — and when it finally clicks, it's genuinely satisfying.
things I like about it
the colors are just really pretty
rose, ocean, herb, lemon, lavender, golden peach, cherry blossom — seven aromas, seven pastel shades, all soft and easy on the eyes. the whole screen looks like a cottagecore mood board.
controls are stupid simple
tap a bottle, tap where you want the liquid to go. two taps, that's it. you literally cannot pour into a full bottle or a bottle with a different color on top, so there's no way to "mess up" the interface, only the puzzle logic.
three difficulty tiers
easy, medium, hard — pick from level buttons at the bottom, jump in wherever fits your mood.
it won't let you get permanently stuck
undo — takes back your last move
add empty bottle — one extra bottle per level for breathing room
restart — nukes the level and starts over
no rage-quitting because you accidentally locked yourself out.
there's soft music playing
genuinely calming background music while you play. atelier vibes, basically.
how to actually play
pc and mobile, same controls
tap/click a bottle with liquid to select it
tap/click the bottle you want to pour into
one color fills a bottle completely → perfume done
finish all bottles → level cleared
tips if you get stuck like I did
keep an empty bottle as backup space — don't fill it right away, use it to temporarily park liquid while you rethink your moves
go after whichever color has the most stacked up first — clearing that one tends to open up room everywhere else
save "add empty bottle" for when you're actually stuck — you only get one per level, try undo first
quick faq
mobile friendly? yes, tap works exactly like click, works on phone/tablet/pc
