First I want to talk about something I found quite shocking while watching.

Blood-bending scares the shit outta me. And I don't scare easily given I am a Horror enthusiast. But this is a children's show on a children's channel.

Yes, it's more mature than 'The Last Airbender' but it is still aired on Nickelodeon. I'd be really freaked out if I saw that scary shit as a child. It reminds me of how I felt watching Watership Down and the violence and killing between the Wild Rabbit colonies.

It was scary enough seeing the blood flow out and run down those poor defenseless animals. But this blood-bending... That's way worse.

I can see how Nick got away with it. It's clever because you don't see the blood. But what scares me is the psychology of it. The thought of being controlled through the very veins and muscles of my body. The autonomy and free will took away. The independence of the anatomy and the freedom of feeling.

It makes sense how Armon could use it to take all forms of bending away when you think about it. Kenesis (bending) is the movement of energy by the mind. But someone stifling the energy with the mind would prevent movement of it. No energy = No bending.

But it's not the way Aang could do it. What he did to take away bending from his enemies was rewire their mind to unlearn the ability. To reverse bending development. Similiar to the Chi Blocking technique. Which is still wrong to do to an living conscious being, don't get me wrong. But not abhorrent. He only did it as an alternative to killing them. To prevent them from abusing their bending to destroy and hurt and damage others. Commendable.

Armon's way of taking away bending most definetly is abhorrent because he is blocking the bodies natural ability of energizing the perceiving and feeling individual. And without energy, there is no individual. There is a body, but no relationship between the mind and body. No spirit. No "I Am".

In that case - you may as well be dead.
