And I get angry.

Not because I don’t like it; on the contrary, I think it’s a great idea. I’m angry because DC didn’t think of doing that for its New 52 Earth-2.

I mean, it’s perfect. DC could’ve 1) kept the aesthetic of the 1940s, 2) without having to drag the mega racism/misogyny/homophobia/etc of the era; 3) could make the Earth-2 characters young and modern, 4) without having to drastically change their costumes/personality/etc because they would have lived in a retro 1940s culture.

The only thing that worries me is the “War of the Americas” thing because that involves more complicated historical/political/even ethnic/etc situations, but if a writer has a clear understanding on how to deal with that, then that would be a great addition.
