Nick’s voice went softer. “‘Course I trust you Rick,” he said, stepping closer. “You know that. Nobody I’d rather have at my back. In the field or…” A grin twitched at the corner of his mouth. “Out in the real world.”

“Then what are you doing bustin’ in here and givin’ me shit, huh?” Warrick asked. He couldn’t help the pull Nick had on him, and stepped closer so they were in each other’s space.

“You just make me crazy man,” Nick said, his breath hot on Warrick’s skin. “You know that. Sometimes I can’t think right when I’m around you.”

Their lips got close to touching, but instead Warrick took hold of Nick’s shoulders and backed him into the wall. He took Nick’s wrists in a tight grip and held them overhead, pressing Nick into the wall with his body. “You gotta get yourself under control Nick,” he said seriously, despite their position. “Can’t have you losin’ your mind at work all the time. Everybody’ll know.”

“Nah,” Nick said, voice gruff. “I used to look at you the same way before we got together. Everybody thinks I’m still just upset that you’re not interested.”

“Oh, I’m interested,” Warrick said softly, getting his lips teasingly close to Nick’s.

“Alright, then let go and we’ll have some fun already,” Nick demanded, tensing his muscles and pressing into Warrick’s grip.

Warrick couldn’t help but smile. They’d tested it more than few times and found that Warrick was definitely the stronger of the two of them. It took little effort to keep Nick against the wall, not that he was really fighting.

“Come on Rick,” Nick groaned, pushing harder. “You’re holdin’ me awful tight there, man.” There was amusement in his voice, so Warrick didn’t back off.

“Yeah, what are you gonna do about it? Huh, Nick?” Warrick asked. “Doesn’t seem like there’s much you can do about it.”

“Oh no?” Nick asked, grinning at the challenge, his brown eyes lighting up with excitement. And then he genuinely tried to get free. He tensed every muscle in his body from shoulders to toes and pressed against Warrick. It was a valiant struggle, but Warrick kept him pinned even as Nick’s face turned a little red with the effort.

“You know what I think?” Warrick asked, dragging his lips across Nick’s, but not kissing him yet.

“Huh?” Nick panted, chest heaving from excitement and effort.
