“You’re coming out tonight?” Jeremy had asked, “Are you feeling okay?” He paused, “Is this about that cute blonde that was in the store yesterday?”

Warned rolled his eyes. “Shut up.” 

In fact, it was about Alice Lark, but Warner didn’t feel like admitting it. (Even though he was sure his brother knew that this strange behavior was, in fact, prompted by Alice.) He’d casually mentioned to her that a bunch of them would probably be down at Sullivan’s bar tonight if she wanted to stop by. It would be mostly theater people, but sometimes Jere would go down, too. Warner, himself, had never joined his brother but he felt like he might be able to make an exception on the off chance that Alice would show up. 

But when he arrived, he realized that she hadn’t. 

He’d been there an hour or so, now, sitting awkwardly besides his brother and wondering what had possessed him to come out in the first place. He was too beers and one whiskey shot in, and he was starting to feel the effects which at least had loosened him up to go and actually talk to someone besides Jeremy. 

He got up from the stool and immediately wished he hadn’t. He couldn’t remember the last time he had gone drinking and he was a lightweight. Eloise Beck was standing near him and he turned to her and said, “I’ve been stood up.” 

okay but can these two cuties be friends???

OMG these two! I can see them being weird BFFs in another life but idk that they are gonna in this one??? b/c warner and gen dated for awhile (he was probably her most serious boyfriend -- which isn’t saying a lot for gen tbh haha -- but also probably the best as in the actual best person that she’s dated) and I know you said that milo has ever liked the guys that she’s been with ????

jeremy has made him shelves but warner buys books to fill them faster than jeremy can make them tbh

sometimes he’s constantly second guessing himself and other times he’s so confident it’s annoying 

loves doing the crosswords and sudoku puzzles in the paper

kinda quiet and shy around those he doesn’t know well

honestly has some social anxiety but some days are better than others 

co-running a business has honestly helped a lot with it and has put him a little out of his comfort zone but some days are still not as great as others

used to get picked on as a kid but it stopped after his big bro started coming around

speaking of his bro, jere is one of the best people in the world according to warner

loves that they were finally open to open up a business together!!!!!

couldn’t think of anyone better to go into business with tbh

they balance each other out in a lot of ways 

warner is great with the financials and organization and administrative work

he’s always looking for ways to expand the business!!!!

can kinda have a one track mind when he gets in the zone and it’s a lost cause to get him to come back to earth and remember to do normal things like eating and sleeping 

gets so enthusiastic and inspired when he comes across a good one! 

when they started up, it was his idea to use the extra space and convert it into an apartment to make some extra cash

also in addition to selling goods, they also know make repairs!

and warner hopes that they’ll eventually expand into teaching classes too 

also renting out to phoebe has worked out so well that he’s aso thinking about buying up more properties to rent out if the right ones come along 

his love life is kind of a mess

has only dated 1 girl ever and that girl is imogen pierce

1 day she came up to him and just said “ur coming me with to get pizza tonight” and warner was so caught off guard that he said yes 

they weirdly had a good time????

they were sO different but honestly that was most of the appeal 

eventually tho they realized that they were too different and the breakup was mutual 

gen realized she’d rather be spending time with milo than warner and warner realized he’d rather spend time with his books than gen

they’ve remained friends tho which has been nice

warner hasn’t really given much thought to girls since then tho and has been focused on school and his business 

that is until alice lark came to town

has a huge crush on her and has 000000 idea of what to do about it

everyone and their mother knows that milo has a thing for alice 

and even tho he hasn’t seemed to have made a move yet, warner doesn’t really think he can compete with someone like milo 

knows he has zero game

when warner tries to flirt it’s like watching a train wreck in slow motion 

he tries to act really cool and smooth and will try to use pick up lines??

but gets so nervous that he messes them up and all it is just a bunch of nonsense 

1 time he tried to flirt with a girl and she thought he was legit crazy and she ran away 

doesn’t really wanna see that happen with alice
