Ingredients: 4 cups unsweetened almond milk. 1/4 cup cocoa powder. 1/4 cup maple syrup. 1 teaspoon vanilla extract. 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon. 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg. Zest of 1 orange. Pinch of salt.
Instructions: Slowly bring almond milk to a boil in a saucepan over medium heat. Add the cinnamon, nutmeg, orange zest, maple syrup, vanilla extract, cocoa powder, and a pinch of salt. Whisk the mixture until it is smooth and well mixed. Keep heating for another two to three minutes, stirring every now and then. Taste it and add more sugar or spices if you think it needs it. Put the hot cocoa into mugs, and if you want, add more orange zest on top. Enjoy while hot!
