It was a win-win for him. A comment here about how much better things would be if they had Kuai Liang on their side, another about how it was such a disappointment they didn’t have him.

And he could see how Bi-Han bristled at each one.

Except what Shang Tsung didn’t expect was that he would start to fall for Kuai Liang as well.

The more he spent studying the notes, his movements, the more he became entranced with the pyromancer. This man was a mystery; Bi-Han? Not so much anymore.

Yet there was an odd pang of something Shang Tsung didn’t think he’d feel.

He rejected it, choosing to tend to his odd wound through another round of needling Bi-Han. “I’m not sure I’ll be able to rest until we have your brother,” Shang Tsung sighed. It was a double-hitter. No matter how desperate Bi-Han was to hide his feelings, Shang Tsung always knew when he hit the mark. And he knew how much it meant to Bi-Han to please him, to win; to be successful.

Bi-Han kept his face neutral as he bristled.

“Do you think we can lure him over with my latest idea?” Shang Tsung asked.
