While their friendship started off slowly, once they knew they shared a mutual attraction it did not take long for them to start dating. Bill has confided in Lyra about his parents and their treatment of him. While Bill does not believe in marriage, he does consider Lyra to be his mate for life.

Roman Cleirigh (Mentor): Bill mentored under Roman multiple times. Mostly to explore his curiosity of evocators and to be closer to Lyra.

→ History

Bill’s parents were never really interested in him beyond childhood. He was raised in a family of witches who were all blessed with arcane powers. Between his grandparents, parents, uncles, aunts, great-uncles, great-aunts, and sister, they completely had all of the arcane powers within their family. That is all expect evocation and necromancy. Bill was sure that him being the first necromancer in their family was one of the reasons why his parents barely paid attention to him. What they really cared most about was fighting over who had the rights to name their mark. It’s been going on for centuries and none of them can agree. Their mark was pretty young with the oldest member being Bill’s maternal grandfather, William, at the age of 588. William had Bill’s mom pretty young from a witch standpoint and Bill’s mom had him even younger. The same said for Bill’s paternal side of the family. His paternal grandfather is 573, followed closely by Bill’s father who is 549. With both his maternal and paternal grandparents in a battle over their marks, Bill is embarrassed by their antics and childishness.

Bill was born and raised in Canada. He was months old when his parents took him to Ronan Cleirigh, the only other necromancy on their side of the hemisphere, for help. Apparently every time he cried or threw a fit, food and plants within the house died. That’s how it was for 80 years of his life. Every time he slipped or something died, he was sent to Ronan for the week as punishment. It wasn’t exactly a punishment because he enjoyed the whole family and even began mentoring under Roman, Ronan’s younger brother too. Before he mentored, he had mistakenly summoned a spirit which Roman later helped him with. Since then, Bill has had an unending interest in spirits and evocation. His bliss with the Cleirigh family was cut short when his parents forced him to move to Europe. He nearly stayed and asked the Council to place him fully under the care of his mentor but he was already gone. At the age of 12, Bill’s parents had an illegal procedure performed to remove his heart for safe keeping, against Ronan warnings that Bill should be the one to keep hold of it, Bill allowed his parents to keep it for him. One squeeze was enough to have him teleporting across the country in seconds. He knew better than to tell the Cleirigh family what had happened and kept it away from them and his friends. It took Bill 10 years to get his heart back but only 3 seconds to teleport back to his real family and friends. He plans on keeping his family secret since it is enough for the council to have their entire line killed; muchless what Ronan and Roman would do to them.  

Bill has been with the Cleirigh family for his whole life besides the 10 years he forcefully spent in London. Bill enjoyed his studies with his former mentor in London but found himself struggling with Undead Manipulation. It was then that Billy knew that returning to Chicago with both Ronan and Roman readily available to him was the best course of action. Or so that is the story he is going with. That would also help with his research and the academic book he’s been working on. Evocationers were originally mistaken for Necromancers, and used to be classified as the same powers, until tests and long term experiments showed they were different. Bill still sees connections between their powers, being one of the few that deal with the living and the dead, he is trying to draw the connections between the two once again. When he was younger his parents randomly made an off handed comment that he should write a book and that is exactly what he is doing. → The Present

Besides writing and working, Bill has started on his Doctor of Medicine degree. While he did attend schooling back in the 1800’s, he was a physician and considered a surgeon but that was nearly 200 years ago. Bill has found himself struggling with modern medicine. Returning to school seemed like a good idea.

Bill has also started a business with Audo helping people reach their departed ones. It’s the first time Bill has ever done something like this before and is looking forward to what it holds for them both. In between handling his course work, finishing his book/research and working, Bill has been trying to keep up with Lyra, his mate. Bill’s parents were not exactly great relationship models but he had Ronan and Isthar and Garrett and Jia good examples. Bill hasn’t had a serious relationship with anyone else besides Lyra; he is giving her all his attention and care.

Ebony Anderson (Ex-Girlfriend): When Ebony and Tristan first started dating, he had no idea that she was a hunter. He learned through the grapevine that she was a hunter but did not care. Tristan called her out on their next date and also mentioned he would not mind continuing their relationship. Tristan and Ebony have been dating off and on for the past 6 years. Tristan has stopped himself from falling in love with her and is thinking it is time to call it quits for good.

Chai Gates (Mistake): Tristan slept with Chai after a bad breakup with Ebony. He hates himself for allowing it to happen but Chai has not tried to attach any strings to what they did. She has however hinted towards doing it again and Tristan has no idea how to let her down smoothly.  

Amber Chase (Interested): Tristan has been interested in Amber for a few years but has yet to make a move because he cannot handle the possibility of rejection. Cassia and Lawrence have been hyping him and trying to give him pointers.

Naomi Goode (Distant Cousin): Tristan and Naomi are both 4th generation Goode witches. Their great great grandparents (1st generation Goodes) were related. They first met at a family function about 10 years ago and have kept in touch with one another. Naomi seems to be better friends with his younger siblings.

Kudzai Rinker (Mentor): Kudzai is a godsend. Tristan has the drive but he does not have the telent. Kudzai has been helping him day in and day out. He has yet to reach mentoring age but Kudzai was very adamant about Tristan starting as soon as possible, especially since Biokinesis is the hardest power to master. Kudzai and Tristan are currently working on Tristan taking on the wounds of others and then healing himself because Health Manipulation seems to always go wrong with him and other supernatural but works well with humans. The only time Tristan has ever seen Kudzai in a panic is when he somehow transferred a power he was taking onto himself to his brother, Asher who was waiting on him in the employees lounge. Kudzai asked for his powers to be looked at her again and joked about him possibly being the nicest smelling necromancer she has ever met. Asher was not as humorous but forgave him and joined Kudzai roasting session.

Cassia Trelawny (Good Friend): Cassia and Tristan mentee together under Kudzai. She has been a big help, teaching him methods that she used when she was learning how to gain control of her powers. Their friendship extends outside of the ER and mentorship, they hang out outside of work and Cassie is friends with most of his siblings. Tristan finds confessing his troubles to her easy.

Lawrence Cocci (Friend): Lawrence and Tristan are partnered together as paramedics. Lawrence has been a great teacher and has never lost his patience with Tristan. They have taken to hanging out outside of work together.

Judson Cleirigh (Friendly): Cassia and Tristan have entered a private study to help the local witch and warlock population with their phenomena, especially those which are not helped with potions, spells or charms. One of Judson studies is helping find a remedy or cure to the frequent hand spasms that Biokinetics experience daily

Ronan Cleirigh (Former Mentor): Kady joined the Cleirighs to mentor for her Master level powers. Ronan has sought Kady out while she was still working on her advanced powers and offered to mentor her once she was done. Kady did not know what a necromancer could do for her and started to do research on Ronan and the Cleirigh family. She was impressed and even more so when Ronan offered her free liberty of his family’s library. Kady was able to master her powers and craft faster than she expected with Ronan and the Cleirigh gang helping her along the way. Kady wanted to accept Ronan’s offer to take his name but instead she started to search for people who shared her mark with his support.

Sada Warren (Mentee): Simon and Sada are Kady’s first mentees. Ronan had been pushing for Kady to become a curse mentor since she was the only curse master in Chicago at the moment. The Council had approved and Kady had two new mentees. Sada and Kady have a regular teacher and student relationship. They are not as close as she is with Simon but Sada is still an excellent student.

Simon Lee Weyden (Mentee): Simon and Sada are Kady’s first mentees. Simon is supposed to be mentoring under Ronan but Ronan had sent Simon to Kady. Simon is more interested in curses than her powers. Simon already knows he wants to master the craft at the age of 78 which had Kady excited and already accepting him as her mentee without any further details. She did not find out about his powers until later but Kady did not care that Simon was a tantric manipulator. Kady actually had a lot of questions and wanted to learn more about him. They have been teaching each other these past few years and Kady considers him a good friend, not just a mentee. Simon has tried to drag her Underground but vampires and human shifters is where Kady draws the line on her knowledge.

Sydney ‘Sid’ Velanica (Friend): Sid is Sada’s boyfriend and he is always around. At first Kady thought he was going to be a distraction but he has been nothing but a big help. Kady believes that they can be friends without Sada being their buffer.

Garrett Cleirigh (Friend): Garrett is Ronan’s little brother and was always around while Kady was training. He had offered himself up as a test dump disintegrator for Kady to practice throwing curses and battling since Garrett is unaffected by physically created magic. They grew close together over the years. Kady has taken it upon herself to teach him the basics technologies, social media and about Starbucks. Garrett is doing well but she is also regretting he becoming a tech fiend.

Talia Cleirigh (Friend): Kady and Talia mentored together under Ronan. Kady was surprisingly the first person to give Taila free reign of their mind. Talia seemed like a sweet girl and the entire Cleirigh clan seemed hellbent on helping each other out. For the last decade, Kady has been pushing Talia to tell her more about other universes and the knowledge they contain. This has added some stress to their friendship since Talia refuses to tell her anything. Kady is trying not to take it to heart or lose a friend over something small but has never asked Talia anything in return for helping her while they were still mentees together.

Audo Wilhelm (Friend): Kady and Audo immediately clicked when he was first brought into Ronan’s mentees. They were trained together, practicing ways their powers could compliment each other and spent some down time practicing basic shields together as a recommendation from Ronan. They have developed a unique connection with their magic. Audo has been trying to trigger visions to help Kady in her quest to gain entry into the book of Marks.

Nathan Cleirigh (Friend): Kady once thought she was in love with Nathan. There was something about him that kept calling her toward him and it scared her. It was not until recently while reading one of her old journals did the reason why hit her. Nathan and possibly the other Cleirighs were in town once when Killian, Rinoa and Kady visited when she was young. She remembered going home and writing about the handsome men that visited their town for provisions. Nathan had talked to Killian and made her father laugh in a way that was only reserved for her. She has yet to share this with anyone but is thinking about bringing it up to Audo.

Catherine Barr (Annoyance): Cat and Kady have never been friends. Kady found it odd when Cat started asking her question and favors that went against the local Council. Having mentored under a Council member and Cat being the mentee of a Council member has had Kady running in the opposite direction.

Bitwa Armii (Dislike): Just like Cat, Kady and Bitwa have never been friends. One day he randomly called Kady out for being a horrible mentor. She has no idea where that came from and has been tempted to throw a few curses his way.

Blu (Hyacinth Macaw): Blu is Kady’s familiar. She recently got Blu a few years ago from Kaylor Genesis. Garrett had suggested it for her anxiety of being a new mentor and to possibly help with the growing itch for more knowledge.

→ Her Personality Belle is a kind and shy spirit compared to her warlock brothers and sisters. She’s simple and open, wanting to live her life to the fullest. She possesses a strong intellect and a sharp, witty demeanor. She is very forgiving and straightforward but can at times be perceived as aggressive, especially when she is hurt and finally speaks from the heart. Her soft nature is often taken for granted. Before she learned of her powers, she was a bit of a loner, and became increasingly isolated as she experienced the symptoms of being a Creator. A part of Belle thinks since they made it through that, there’s nothing they can’t face with each other. Belle loves her sarcasm and originality, and just how special she is when no one is looking. She just likes being around her, whether they’re both working quietly, lying around in bed or hanging out at a bar.

Eric Lasiter (Mentor): Eric has always treated her with respect. Most of her life she was used to being talked down to or treated like she didn’t understand what was happening with her own body. They talked most of the night and when Flower came to help her home, Shannon asked if she did the class regularly. They reconnected afterwards and became surprisingly close friends, and Belle acts as a sounding board for a lot of the stress Shannon feels.

Emmett Wilhelm (Trainer): She asked Emmett to start training her last year, and only now did the council approve it. They all think she’s too young, but Emmett has never denied her any experiences that a Seeker must go through since they’ve begun training.

Chiara Ricci (Friend): She met the vampire the first time she went down to the Underground. They clicked fast and Belle tried to make it down at least once every two weeks to hang out with her.

Mike (Maine Coon Cat): The first thing Belle did when she got better was adopt a cat.

→ History Belle, like most witches and warlocks, never knew her father. It never made much difference to her. Her mother Velma created all the love that she needed and provided the best she could for her daughter. However there was nothing she could really do when Belle started getting sick. At first it was common clumsiness that happens when children learn to move, but then it evolved into numbness and then eventually severe pain and weakness. Belle’s once bright and playful childhood began to be weekly doctor’s visits and constant pain. No one could discover what was wrong with her body and By the time she was 16 she practically lived at the hospital and was emotionally unable to handle it anymore. No one believed her symptoms were real because she couldn’t find any explanation for them. She lost the cool, positive outlook she had in life and the pressure of not knowing what was wrong with her began eating away the last of her emotional stability. It wore on her mother and the doctors and Belle developed anxiety over everything within the medical community. At 17, Belle had lost most of her desire to fight, until she met Dr. Kudzai Rinker. She asked her to start from the beginning and spent hours writing everything down. Then she took her mother aside. When they returned, her mother had tears in her eyes and Kudzai came over to Belle. She moved her hands along her back, and Belle found the constant pain from the last decade gone. She became overwhelmed and Kudzai explained everything.

A week later, after daily treatments from Kudzai, Belle left the hospital and met with the Council. They explained more in-depth and looked at her mark to verify she was a first generation. Then they discussed the best course of action and who could take her in. Though she was in pain, the thought of losing her mom terrified her. In the midst of the discussion, Eric Lassiter came in. There was a vague acknowledgement as he walked in, but they all seemed surprised when he spoke to her. He offered her a spot training under him, speaking to her rather than about her, and she said yes. When they discussed it later he promised she could stay with her mother and that they’d figure out a plan for her physical therapy. Eric began training her almost immediately and though she’d never done any accidental magic before, she found that she picked up the basics quickly.

She trained thoroughly for the next 40 years, and found herself blossoming. For the first time ever, Belle had friends who took her out to bars and went to concerts and taught her how to have fun. Her mobility was sometimes a challenge, but many of them just helped her work around it. Though she had an active and popular social life, she had never been romantically interested in anyone. About 10 years ago she met Flower in a bar and instantly clicked with her. They started spending time together more and more often. Belle talked about the craziness of her life, Flower talked about the Wilhelms and her asshole fiancée. That nearly broke Belle’s heart, but she was resolved to be there for her friend and shove any feelings down for her. That stopped soon after Flower cornered her and kissed her, and admitted everything about her family. Neither of them were out and Flower was betrothed. They started dating in secret and kept their relationship under wraps, as best friends. 3 years ago, Flower talked Belle into coming out of the closet about their relationship. First, Flower told her fiancée and the two came to the conclusion that they will never be together or get married; and continue to tell both of their families. After the Wilhelms were notified, Belle and Flower told the rest of their friends and family. They have been openly together ever since.

→ The Present At first Velma tried to hide her sickness and old age from Belle but as her symptoms took a turn for the worst, everyone in their community could tell, including Belle. Belle has stepped up to the plate, taking care of her mother like she once took care of her. Her friends are trying to convince her that it is a part of life and that her mother cannot be saved. Belle, however, has been inquiring to Kudzai and the local necromancer, Ronan, about possibly saving her mother’s life. She isn’t ready to let her mother go.

Belle has recently begun her training as a Seeker. She wants to help find other witches and warlocks. She knew her own pain and the worry she caused her mother before finding out she was indeed a warlock. Belle hopes she can save others from the same pain and feeling of being alone. Emmett and Eric are concerned about her health issues and constant need for physical therapy which doesn’t line up with a Seeker lifestyle.
