#warlock!

Hello! I am writing a book for Warlock! the rules-lite OSR game by Greg Saunders. This is subject to change, but this may be one of the careers included in the book. Skrilt Corpse Nurse

You dedicate yourself to the continuation and prosperity of Ratmen. You are a midwife, caring for Mother Rat before she births a brood. You provide fresh human corpses for the young to feed on. You teach them the way of Skrilt as they grow.

When times are tough and death does not come to humans when needed, you are an assassin. You kill, not with malice, but with love. You kill to replace humans with Skrilt and cover The Kingdom with Swarms of your kind.

Equipment: A small dagger, three sharp darts, 50ft of rope, basket or bucket, rag wrap that obscured your identity, sort of. Vile of poison.

A noble. He wore shiny shoes.

An elf of the Wildfire. Oops. They wore cloak--thought they were human.

Guard captain of home city. Guards vow to take my tail.

A rival Skrilt from your Swarm. Hope nobody find out.

A mother of four children. Don’t know what I feel bad.

I kill a woman who were assassining noble. Now noble be my friend. Weird human.

Who is your favorite child? (roll a d6)

Skrilt 79, they good Tracker. Love in their heart.

Skrilt 92, they work with we as Corpse Nurse.

Skirlt 143, they ride biggest Feral ever!

Bone Crusher, they have big hammer. Save my life one time.

This And That, they make anything out of this and that.

The party made a business deal with a goblin clan in the mountains. They had too much celebratory grog and woke up in an improvised prison cell in the ancient elf tomb the goblins are using as a home base.

1. A huge gate with two keyholes leading to the staircase. 6 Ornate pillars with gems stuck in them - some have been pried out but a few remain

2. PCs belongings scattered in a messy pile - pots, pans and any weapons. Also some scrappy clothes and d100 random weapon (knave)

3. Huge pile of disassembled armour, weapons, tools etc - roll twice on tools table. Some interesting contraptions - unfinished. Goblin tinkerer is working on one in the corner - he won't notice you if you stay quiet. Something smells awful.

4. Hallway to here has a spike pit trap around the corner - spring loaded floor plate on a hinge that falls down when you step on it. Room - A locker containing 2 candles and a scarf

5. Nothing...weirdly? Room has been scrubbed clean

6. Mushroom growing room - heavier door to block light. Unconscious mushroom farmer. Puddle in the corner. Mushrooms everywhere.

7. Pile of rags - underneath is d6 copper coins

8. A key locked in a mechanical safe with 3 digit roller lock. Food scraps on the floor. Scribbles on the wall of goblins - arms praying above head, arms curved out to the side, and arms up like surrendering.

9. D4 Sleeping goblins. A sarcophagus holds a key

10. Hallway - smells get worse. Toilet room - pile of poop in a hole at one end, bucket of water and a rag on other end

11. A jellyfied body of a goblin, a pothelm and some copper coins close to it

12. Slime cube (Ooze) NPC. A wall panel conceals a jeweled necklace caught up in a fake wall made from stacked stones - leading to a secret room.

13. A small man (Ivan) barricaded himself in here to hide from the jelly. He offers you a well paying job if you take him to safety. (Boswitch Bathhouse free module)

14. Rope trap at door to 15 - stretched between two pegs across doorway, will trip first person walking through. Carved art on the walls of daily life scenes

15. Stone sarcophagus on a circular platform with some wooden planks to make it into a throne. Has already been looted for valuables, is a bit messed up - empty

16. Prison - party wakes up here. Some clay pots with bones. Wooden door with a keyhole. Candle in sconce (unreachable with fingers).

17. Second prison - full of bones, some ancient and some more recent

Barrow of the Elf King - player map vs DM map (they pulled the first gem-encrusted skull they saw, of course, hence the collapsed tunnel artwork)

I know it’s a been a hot second. I wrote a book for Warlock! A rules lite OSR. Cheers.
