one might of thought that apollo would be too busy between rehearsing a new show and working gigs with his agent to worry over steve rogers, his newfound boyfriend and coincidentally his neighbor. of course, apollo had done nothing but worry. all he could do was hope that he was getting through to those politicians that didn’t seem keen about answering, or even reading his letters which he’d taken careful time and precision to write. at the very least, the brunet was able to text, and call steve, which was enough to keep him happy while he was away. and at the very least, apollo had atlas to keep him company. who was excited as ever when doug came to play. still, even as he’s in his dressing room after the show, he reaches for his phone and calls the man, hoping he’s not interrupting anything yet even more hopeful that he would answer. so when he hears that familiar, attractive, voice his heart leaps in his chest and a big grin spreads over his cheeks as if he hadn’t spoken to him in weeks. “ hey!! just finished a show. wanted to know what you’re up to --”

1. Who takes the trash out? steve because apollo always forgets or passes out before he can even consider doing so 2. Who reminds the other to take care of themselves? they both basically take turns since they’re both very busy boys who need someone to remind them that morning breath isn’t appealing 3. Who is happier when they are out in nature? steve – which is why he almost always ends up taking atlas out on walks. however, this isn’t to say that apollo doesn’t like it outside. steve just happens to like it more xD4. Do they like to go in the hot tub together? ABSOLUTELY. these clingy children LMAO5. Do either of them avidly follow a celebrity and/or fandom? not sure about steve unless it’s apollo xD but apollo is a big fan of les miserables and follows his all time favorite actor ryan gosling with a passioN6. Who builds a pillow fort? apollo – and then he proceeds to ban steve from said pillow fort until he brings him coffee or chocolate milk. cookies are also required for entry.7. Who plans the romantic date? they both do, but if anything, steve thinks his through a bit better xD8. Who likes to play with the other’s hair? thEy both adore each other’s hair. especially @ night when they’re lying in bed talking about nonsense9. Who calms the other down when the other has a nightmare? steve calms down apollo more often than not, but apollo does the same when steve has any ;;10. Who wants their dog to sleep on the bed with them? both – but technically he’s steve’s dog LMAO but apollo likes to cuddle with atlas when steve is gone.11. Who can’t sleep without the other? apollo finds it difficult to sleep alone, period, but without steve it’s even worse. in fact, he has to stop himself from making three a.m. phone or skype calls when they’re apart because he knows steve needs sleep.12. Who is too nice and will listen to a sales person pitch? APOLLO. he’s genuinely interested and entirely gullible. but steve always manages to tug him away in a timely manner.13. Who makes the first move to cuddle? depends on who makes it to bed first <314. What is their go to fast food place? that one burger joint right around the corner bc they can go there in sweatpants and then run back home in five minutes.15. Who likes to wear the other’s sweaters? apollo – he’s pretty sure if steve tried on one of his, he’d end up stretching it out. not that he’d mind.

to put it simply, apollo had vowed never to go out of state again to one of the many broadway theaters scattered across the country. but this opportunity was too good to pass up. i mean, when you’ve been cast as prince charming in into the woods, you don’t exactly give that up. it’s a once in a lifetime role. and one he’s really been dreaming of since he was merely in high school. that being said, he has missed his boyfriend DEARLY, and hadn’t even as much time to talk to him as he had when in chicago. rehearsals had been grueling and steve’s work was demanding and relentless. and far too important to be giving up. finally, the shows had come to an end, and.... he knew he was expected to arrive monday morning... but why not surprise him this time? drop in sunday night -- though he’d probably be asleep, maybe it’d be a nice surprise to see apollo tucked in right next to him when he woke up. though, by the time he gets into the house, he’s realized that he’s practically starving to death, so rest would have to wait. doesn’t bother turning on the lights either -- he’d just grab something to eat real quick and then crawl into bed.  of course, as he’s moving about the kitchen, he doesn’t exactly expect a sudden blinding pain to his cheek, sending him toppling to the floor. a hand flies up to hold his cheekbone, sure it’s about to bruise as eyes instinctively begin to well up with tears. he attempts to shake it off as the lights come on, eyes blinking a few times as his eyes meet the blond’s. while his heart swells with happiness, his face doesn’t particularly feel the same, so he’s not really able to express it.  he doesn’t do anything except let steve pull him to his feet, arms throwing around his neck as he burrows his face against the crook of the man’s neck. the brunet shakes his head just enough to get his point across. he certainly doesn’t blame it on the blond -- he’s glad he would’ve been able to at least protect himself in the case of a burglar (not that he doubted this in the first place). “ --- maybe you should consider being a little nicer to burglars. ”
