I wonât lie, Iâm really excited to see you playing Awakening, itâs one of my favorites in dragon age đ can you tell us a bit about your warden commander?
Thank you for your interest! Iâm still ironing out the details, as it were, and playing around with her background. Hereâs what Iâve got thus far:
Her full name is Basina Emmeline Caron after her maternal and paternal grandmothers, both of whom had been trained in the bardic arts and had been master manipulators in their time. Basina was so named because it was hoped that she would take after her grandmothers in their prowess. Although she proved physically adroit, she lacked the verbal finesse and social graces her grandmothers embodied. Like Alistair and my Hero of Ferelden, Basina was also recruited and plucked from a miserable situation by Duncan.
(For those who donât speak Spanish, carroĂąa translates to âcarrionâ, which is here used as a depreciatory play on Basinaâs Orlesian surname Caron.)

I guess because theyâre hiring and supposedly give benefits? and the stuff I mentioned about horrible work environments was just ârumorsâ.
Like I understand I canât stay at my current job for much longer but Iâm not going to fling myself into a place where I wonât be happy.

i sorta made peace w it by tying it to her spending a year alone w basically ntohing but soap operas, but hey really should ahve played that aspect up more if it was intentional
Oh dang, thatâs a good point! I hadnât thought about the year she spent watching Soap Operas, but like you said - if that was the inspiration, they shouldâve played that up to make it more obvious or overtly dramatic.

Eleven's crush on Mike is kinda painful to begin with, never mind the Jealousy Issues(TM) she has with Max. I was hoping she would have warmed up to Max, but no dice. :/
I think it wouldâve been more in-character for Eleven to watch Max get assaulted by Billy, and Eleven punches him in the face with her brain. Max and Eleven have a lot in common, including overbearing, abusive, older male figures in their lives and it wouldâve been cool to see them bond over that. There were enriching, deep levels they couldâve connected on that wouldâve been more impactful than jealousy.

But don't you know....all girls are inherently jealous of one another. And there can only be ONE TOKEN GIRL in a group. Says the all male writing team.
Itâs kind of funny how this trope gets played over and over and over while I remember having pretty big group of female friends through middle and high school. Even as a tomboy like Max (but 20lbs heavier and with a bowl cut), I had female friends and we somehow managed to not be jealous of each other at first sight.Â
Plus, this is an explicit group of outcasts - theyâll always absorb the new outcast. This is what outcasts do. This is what they highlighted in Eleven going to Chicago to meet Kali, who had formed her own group of outcasts. Theyâre all outcasts and they all work together. Shunning Max feels so awkward in that regard.

Thank you for putting it into words because that was exactly why I was uncomfortable about that scene. It absolutely was ooc for Eleven.
Elevenâs such a fascinating character and I hope they have her connecting with Max and other female characters they bring on the show in S3. Let her make more friends, Duffer Bros.
Here is a sketch commission of my friend @wardenkader adorable leopard gecko OC named Coin! :) Please do not use for personal use!

as a butch lesbian, imo, i usually feel like âdont use it if youre dating a man, but otherwise Who Gives A Shit, reallyâ. there IS a lot of discourse abt 'Its For Lesbians Onlyâ and 'Its For All WLW, Historically Itââ so. similarly seen a lot of stuff abt nb/gnc lesbians using it (usually in a supportive context for it), so like. opinion is divided and the discourse is inescapable. i say use it if you want, life is short and its (imo) a fun ID to lean into
wardenkader replied to your post:Â This is a weird question, but do you have to...
Iâve seen other lesbians say donât but tbhâŚhistorically itâs been shared culture. I donât see the harm in other WLW using it, as long as theyâre not dating dudes while using it? Thatâs just me tho, I know a lot of lesbians who disagree and they have their own reasons for it. /shrug
I actually didnât know there was such strife about it among lesbians, now I just feel even more unsure about it. Donât feel like having 9 angry lesbians in my inbox yelling at me.
The main thing that pulls me to that label I think is the fact that Iâm generally very gnc/masculine in how I present myself, and despite IDing as bi Iâm like 90% into women and 10% into men (which is kinda of a shitty way of describing it, but TL:DR; Iâm way more into women than into men in general)
IDK Iâll... think about it some more I guess??

Andromeda Ask Meme
4. When your comatose sibling asked about the current situation in Andromeda, did Ryder lie or tell the truth about Alec Ryder and Habitat 7? Why?
(First of all, I love this question oh my god.)
Adamâs usually as honest as the day is long, but he couldnât bring himself to drop all that on Sunny while she was still recovering. He told her about Alec, but lied about Habitat 7. He felt awful about it, but he rationalized that he had time to find a golden world, or make one livable enough, before she woke up.
6. Eos: Was your first settlement scientific, or military? Reasoning on your choice?
Scientific. Adamâs never been very military-minded - he joined the Alliance primarily for biotic training, and a little bit because of what he perceived as Alecâs expectations. They need people learning how to make Eos and Andromeda livable more than anything, and besides, thereâs going to be other life out there. Jumping in with a large military presence isnât going to give off a great first impression.
26. After rescuing the Moshae from the facility on Voeld, she begs you to destroy the facility, regardless of the captives still inside. Â Jaal pleads with you to try and save them. Â What was Ryderâs choice?Â
Saving lives in the moment is always going to be more important to Ryder. Heâll rescue who he can now, and work harder if his choices might have put others in danger. He didnât destroy the facility.
Did the Cardinal survive your encounter?
Nah sheâs super dead.
đĽ Cadash đĽ Sebastian Vael
-OBVIOUSLY Cadash was not made available for Noodle Boy and Egg Man because theyâre already just SO compatible and fun with so many of the other love interests. Cadash/Blackwall, amazing. Cadash/Sera, outstanding. Cadash/Josephine, remarkable. Cadash/Dorian, wow zowy. Even just to play in the space with their different backgrounds is fun to think about.
It would just not be fair to have all this chemistry across the board like that.
-Hey how come fandom is still unable to accept that Fenris legitimately likes Sebastian (and Isabela) and enjoys their company? How come theyâd rather make it seem like Sebastian is obsessed with him and tries to manipulate them (for a fandom so big on purity they really donât know empathy when they see it). How come theyâd rather hone in on how Fenrisâs relationship with someone he clashed with SHOULD have been?
Really? You think he and Andy obviously could not have disliked each other that much? âNo one spends that much time together and still hates each other!â Mmm....do they though?
And then some people are fixed on how he could get along with Dorian. Donât get me wrong I like Dorian but...why?
I guess this ended up being more about Fenris but itâs still nuts to me that people would rather focus on hypothetical relationships with people he dislikes or has never met and would have no reason to like, than with someone he actually gets along with.
