Been awhile since I posted any painting projects, but I've been slowly working on some stuff for warcrow.
I've always struggled with basing, but I feel like I have a good look going here, so I'll keepmessing with this I think.
Do you know how awful it is to be a fan of Warhammer, Warcraft, Warframe, Warmachine, and Warcrow and have to talk about any of them? God help me if I'm ever discussing two of these games/universes in the same day.
Conceptually, I can easily keep all of them separate, even if -hammer, -craft, and -machine get a little close to one another on aesthetics and themes, but when my ADHD brain reaches out to grab the first name that comes to mind when you're trying to talk about one of these, it's an absolute shitshow.
Bucklermen unit done. Yes, everyone gets an individal pants pattern.

Impulse bought these Warcrow minis at a con almost a year ago, getting around to painting them before that con comes around again.
Went with a denim and leather look for them
Took part in apparently the first??? official Warcrow tournament. I didn't get all my list painted to completion but I'm pretty happy with my little orcs so far.
Little side project I picked up today while at a new to me local game store, model os from Corvus Belli Warcrow, I called him battlebear.
This is a siocast resin model, first one I ever worked with, assembly was pretty simple, just a little scraping and sanding, the final assembly had some gaps, but I tool the opportunity to try gap filling with some testors contour putty.
Not the best gap filling job but i am happy with it. After priming tland adding a generous white ink pre shade it passes the test at tabletop distance where the gaps are invisible.
Likely gonna revisit this model tomorrow afternoon with fresh eyes and go over a few more mold lines and bits to smooth out.
The fresh eyes comment is pretty accurate, whole snipping a bit off this thing, it somehow launched into my face and got me in the eye, stings like nothing else but my vision isn't impacted, just a burning eye.
Products used:
Testors contour putty, pro acryl black primer, liquitex bold titanium white ink, xacto knife, various sculpting tools.
