John Huston produced this documentary about returning WWII veterans with "combat neuroses” (i.e. PTSD) in 1946.

This is a documentary about Desmond Doss, the first conscientious objector to win the Congressional Medal of honor despite refusing to carry a gun. He was an army medic in the American military during World War II. He is also the subject of a new movie called “Hacksaw Ridge” that will enter production in October, directed by Mel Gibson and starring Andrew Garfield. Yes, that is the key reason I decided to watch this documentary. Anyway, I’m only an hour into it but I am really enjoying it and always enjoy educating myself about things or people I don’t know much about so I wanted to share it.
If you're like me and randomly binge war documentaries, I recommend watching WWII in HD and Vietnam in HD. Who doesn't love uncensored war footage?
