Y’all already know about love at twilight and kotg I won’t talk about them a lot to avoid spoilers, and I’ve definitely talked about my fsau and crimson hero, but… there’s more…hhh

Well I’ve been wanting to do something eow but not enough but I was just thinking about a sequel au of Spirit tracks and uuuuUUGZBSBSKSBA so I’ve had this lore idea for a while now about something called Wandering Spirits. When you die, your spirit is wandering the land to become worthy to enter the sacred realm, which is basically heaven. Whether it’s your spirit finding closure about something or finding your true self, it a small journey. The spirits are still in Hyrule but to them they’re on a completely separate plane. So all ghosts you see in Hyrule are wandering spirits (the depths in totk is mostly where wandering spirits go. Because there’s so much that have been there for a while, the Poe collectors sorta send them to the sacred realms themselves.)

AnywYs SO spirit tracks Zelda hears a voice calling out to her so she and Link go to figure it out and their investigations lead them to Linebeck III’s house and they meet Linebeck II, who goes by Jun (short for Junior ofc) because I want to explore Linebeck’s family and like should you even Be surprised at this point.

Anyways Jun is there to get medicine for his mom Jolene cuz she’s old and sick and he’s taking care of her but the medicine ingredients are underground in a spooky and muddy cave and obviously Linebeck III doesn’t want to go and Joynas is there cuz her dad is there and she doesn’t want to go cuz ew mud so Link and Zelda go. The cave is full of puzzles and stuff and it’s rough and THEN a ghost suddenly appears and low and behold it’s LINEBECK tRHE OG THE LOVE OF MY LIFE and he’s telling them that he’s a wandering spirit and two spirits need their help to move on because they were actually trapped by evil. So they can’t move on no matter what. So they go on this big journey with Linebeck’s ghost following or something, maybe they’ll see many old characters from wind waker, trying to save the two spirits from evil. And they slowly learn about the founding of New Hyrule and they discover that the hero before Link gave up his life to protect new Hyrule but where they thought evil was completely destroyed, it was actually holding the hero down so he never moved onto the sacred realm.

Important to note: heroes of Hyrule and other special people never become wandering spirits, because they are the hero chosen by the goddesses, they can immediately move onto the sacred realm. So the Hero before Link no moving on is kinda tragic ngl (rip windy)

as she wanders the outskirts of the clans, she is happened upon by a young tom who runs away in fear and alerts his clanmates. all she says to the passing cats is a name in a tongue they do not understand and a lament of her loneliness. being judged by her outward appearance, she is killed.

hollowed by the sullen look in her dead eyes, her killers feel immediate regret.
