1. I miss you in waves. Some are big and dunk me fast into a sea of depressive fuckery and  some are softly lapping at my ankles but it seems I dance in the water a lot and you are always, always crashing into me.

2.  I miss you in places. In Indooropilly Wendy’s and our corner spot at The Gap Maccas. In dancing halls and in theatres. In churches and in mountains and in the way the beach only reminds me of you now (sharks and all).

3. I miss you in music. In Seasons of Love and in Flying. In I’m not a beaver I am an otter (Ch ch ch ch ch ch ch) and in the Lion King. In True Colors and in A Thousand Years. In Little Things and in Adele mashups. In songs about people left behind and pretty girls and regrets and in that I can’t quite bring myself to sing our Asian song without your voice to back me up.

4. I miss you in movies. In the Rocky Horror Picture Show. In catching the end of Peter Pan on Go and in Bridge to Terabithia. In the way I don’t really want to see Breaking Dawn Part 2 without sitting next to you.

5. I miss you in emotions. In laughing at memories and in uncontrollable outbursts. In the way the mention of your name makes me want to laugh and cry and punch a wall all at the same time.

6. I miss you in clocks. In 525 600 minutes and in ‘Williams gone and it’s time to party’.  In that 11:11 means a wish I know won’t come true and in the way I wish I could turn them back.
