01/17/16 Â Day 17
Not even a month in and I find myself repeatedly describing many artists as a great poet, storyteller or flat out writer. Donât ask my âfavoriteâ, itâll depend on my mood &/or whatâs going on for me right now. Â Come to think of it, I donât have a favorite for lots of things. Â Should life be so limiting that narrowing it down to simply one is a good idea? Â Remember the camp(s) I mentioned? Â One of the things taught by the founder was âchoose both!â Â âWould you like cake or ice cream?â Â Both of course! Â Rock AND Roll, not Rock or Roll, lol. Â Do you limit yourself? Â How. when, where or why do you? Â Is it possible to choose both? Â If not, why?
Just because I donât have favorite doesnât mean I donât have preferences.  I know the things I DO like.  I enjoy traveling (good thing, eh!), but I prefer to travel with loved ones.  I enjoy time at home too.  I prefer my larger meals to be earlier in the day & a smaller dinner, water over most other drink options (a little soda with a meal sometimes), sleeping in a little in the morning, no airflow vs. a running fan @ night (unless itâs really warm),âŚ.. the list goes on & on.
Whatâs the meaning behind choosing both & how does it fit into todayâs song? Well, Heather Nova has weaved several double entendres into her song Walk this World. Â Can you find them? :) Â Iâm a sucker for female musicians, so expect to see several more this year. Â
Walk This World
I have slept beside the winter and the green is growing slow I have watched you find the places hidden by the snow I have tripped into a valley that is blue till you can see I want you to come walk this world with me
With the light in our eyes it's hard to see Holding on and on to what we believe I'm not touched but I'm aching to be I want you to come walk this world with me
And I'm sucked in by the wonder and I'm fucked up by the lies And I dig a hole to lie in and I build some wings to fly And I think that I could love you 'cause you know how to be free I want you to come walk this world with me
With the light in our eyes it's hard to see Holding on and on 'til we believe With the light in our eyes it's hard to see I'm not touched but I'm aching to be I want you to come, I want you to come I want you to come walk this world with me
And it's burning in our fingers and it's burning on the road And I like the way you're broken and I'll like you when you're old And I see you in the garden and I feel you plant the seed I want you to come walk this world with me
With the light in our eyes it's hard to see Holding on and on 'til we believe With the light in our eyes it's hard to see I'm not touched but I'm aching to be I want you to come, I want you to come I want you to come walk this world with me
