No idea about the source content for this post but re: the tag abt why play dnd: 1) dnd is the best conduit I have for collaborative storytelling nowadays and the feedback for narrative beats is almost always instantaneous in the reactions of those around you so it's a good source of instant validation and gratification; 2) I'm a theater kid with too low of self-esteem and too high of anxiety to have had a chance elsewise
I feel like you are using D&D as a catch-all for Tabletop Games and are misunderstanding me. I fucking love TTG and fully support them and all the wonderful things they provide.
I’m throwing shade specifically at Dungeons and Dragons as a TTG because it’s boring compared to the wider indie scene. XD
