Right in time I have a place to celebrate but this hit 500 kudos!!! This story has a very special place in my heart. I wrote it in like a week and I love how it turned out. It's slow, because it's forced to be, but it's healthy, there's good communication and respecting each other boundaries, and a lot of hope, good old fashioned hope for both me and the characters. It kinda came from a place of frustration at everyone doing oh, who cares about COVID and Corpse legit not going to physical therapy due to fear of COVID, Corpse hand delivers Sy's merch and they fall into bed together, and also anxiety because I was just starting anxiety meds to combat my own COVID anxiety.
I have to laugh because I had no idea what to do for a vaccine schedule but it was like June for Corpse because he has health issues and July/August for Sykkuno for general population. And then Trump was dragging his feet with vaccines and I was like, "That was way too optimistic. Stupid me." But now we hope to have everyone vaccinated by the START of summer and I've gotten my first vaccine due to being an essential worker and my mom gets her first vaccine for being high risk this week! I mean, idk how CA is doing it and they live in CA in this story and my state is one of the highest vaccinated percentage states so...
I'm just really happy about this. This story is my pride and joy, I think. I have Ch 2 started but it just never came together but chapter 2 was going to be nothing but fluff. First kiss, asking each other out, spending hours in bed just losing time cuddling, Sykkuno finally letting Corpse call him baby and he was going to call Corpse sweetheart, a picnic with Rae and Toast, going out for a very early morning breakfast, all that fun stuff.
Anyone who's read it want to send me asks about it? I'd love to hear people's thoughts on it. I'm also willing to share what I have of Ch 2 if people want to see?
