Seeing double? Top one has been posted before (but is different from the “neighbours” of a few days ago). Rainbow lorikeets at Wahroonga. Trichoglossus moluccanus. The bottom one is Red Collared Lorikeets from 2018 at Batchelor in the Northern Territory. Trichoglossus rubritorqui. So similar - in looks, behaviour and squabbling! 3895km apart. 42hours driving accourding to an optomistic google maps (at 94.92 kmh average).

May have posted this before from my website. Just a few of the neighbours lined up for a free feed. Rainbow lorikeets - Trichoglossus moluccanus. DID YOU KNOW ... Lorikeets have a brush tongue that helps them eat their favoured pollen and nectar, unlike parrakeets who favour seeds. No, neither did I.
