Sadly sometimes, even if we've been friends with someone for so long, friendships really are toxic.When you're still kids and have plenty time to change, it's normal to have some fights and troubles, but you're supposed to grow, mature and change to the point of really care about each other.Jokes are never going to disappear because friends have enough trust to play with each other... But everything has its limit and if you really think that your friend is crossing it, you should stop her.

Try to talk to her first, let her know that you're uncomfortable and that she's known you for a really long time and she knows you really like her and that you try to take things easy because you know her as well, but that there are some things that you'd like to be different. Let her know that you appreciate her but you are not feeling comfortable with how things are.Friendships are relationships as well and any relationship needs to be build with respect.Let her know that there are some things that she shouldn't talk about.

If after all this you consider that things are still not going on well, then you need to get away from her. I know it has been a long friendship, but you're still young and you're going to meet a lot of great people and you shouldn't let that a hurtful friendship ends up hurting you, because you're going to start being afraid of those awesome people that's waiting to meet you.
