Unlike Elite Warriors and Warriors, Workers are cats who are stuck doing chores within the clan and doing tasks for The Elite (Elite Warriors, Leader, Deputy, Healers) until they prove their loyalty and worth to the clan and to the leader Iciclestar.

Any cat who is against the new rule or does not follow through is expected to undergo trial and punishment regardless of ranking.

You will see what that’s like pretty soon!

Heartflicker and Iciclestar’s relationship has been pretty messy lately. On one hand, they acknowledge that they are sisters and hold some sentimental value to that. On the other hand, they are treating each other like authoritarians/work partners than family, and they both resent each other for the death of Snakevalley

On Iciclestar’s part, she’s grown to be very distrustful and weak - she’s experienced death and nearly died twice on account of the cats she loved and saw as family. Put it simply, she wanted to be lenient, but forced to learn about reality, she can’t be a good leader if she keeps getting hurt

When she needed help she sought out her mother, with her experience as a previous deputy, and gave her the advice she needed to hear

Leading a clan with a strong mind and ferocity, maintaining tradition, and unwavering devotion to Starclan. Bees are stinging insects, after all

YEAHH HE’S BACK!!! I lied, but also technically not, because the boy really did die at that moment. guess I’ll make it clearer here - 404 brought him back to life using her super save file editing powers, after all, she still needs to use him!

And when she finally reaches out to someone, tries to confide in her brother… he chooses their mother’s murderer over her. (Obviously its more complicated than that, but thats how it looks from Stone’s point of view.)

Obviously its not great that she tried to kill Icestar, and its heartbreaking that she killed Vinethistle. But she’s been falling apart from a long time. She was a kid in a hellish situation. But even as she was wasting away, both from starvation and despair, she was never given as much help as she needed.

Vinethistle and Stonespider could’ve lived long wonderful lives. They could’ve been happy. But just like their mother, they were set up to fail from the beginning. Its a cycle of grief and abuse, a chain where one link drags the other down.

I’m touched that you feel something with Stonespider! And I think you summed her (and Vine along with that) up very well here, just two very unfortunate kids who were set up for failure U_U

SADLY it had to turn out that way. I like them having chemistry but stuff changes! Runnelpaw was intent on proving herself and showing her oath to the clan, and Stonespider.. yeahh….
