Unpopular Opinion: Keith as Asexual HEAR ME OUT OKAY
Yes let me get this in your heads. I'm a Keith stan. No doubt, 100%. And I love the man as much as the next Keith stan does. I'm also a Klance stan, strong as ever. But, I've only realized something as I witnessed Keith's growth in the past few seasons. Around him are his closest friends, and such people like Lance, Allura, and Hunk, are having romantic ties. Also, he was surrounded and exposed to so many possible love interests, yet he doesn't even blink. Don't just also tell me he's too focused to mind about any thoughts of romance or interests at anyone. Even before this whole mess started, he didn't seem to need to look for any romantic partnership. Keith seems fine without one. Because he is. By now I've seen much, been through much, watched this young man grow into a man on his own, and now I've realized that maybe, just maybe, Keith's that type of guy/character who doesn't need any sort of romance just because he fits the "handsome boy" (and I mean hANDSOME AS FUCK) criteria. As much as I want KLance to happen as much as my fellow KLance peeps do, what if? Also, now that Romelle is in the picture (there goes the 'ooo-a-single-pretty-character-is-added-ship-to-other-character'), don't treat her as a stereotype that she was inserted to give Keith or anyone a romantic interest. She is with and in her own, also because she was essential to exposing Lotor and his snake as fuck ways. Okay, so 'Keith is possibly asexual, so what?!' or 'Nooo fuck that KLance forever!'. Guys. It's my damn opinion. And it's a possibility, much like all the ships, AUs, and theories still out there and open to the Voltron Universe/Fandom. But consider it guys, it could be possible. Keith is his own man, and pretty much independent as he showed such fucking awesome leadership skills and strength all so naturally in s6. But no matter what happens, I, we all should still love our, now a man, Keith Kogane like we always do. He's still the same man we all have known and grown to love since the beginning. Fucking hell, I love Keith so much I only realized that now.
The one thing Season 6 made me realize is how fucking fast I'd drop my pants if Keith asked me too.
