President Donald Trump on Monday continued to tweet out baseless claims about vote counting, targeting four states that he has already lost or where he is trailing President-elect Joe Biden....
Trump continues to spread lies designed to undermine the democratic process, just as you’d expect from the President of the United States.
Georgia:
Trump: “Georgia will be a big presidential win, as it was the night of the Election!”
Reality: “Trump led on Tuesday night, but there were tens of thousands of ballots still to count mostly from Democratic strongholds or areas where Democrats have made inroads in recent years. ... There is no evidence of large-scale voter fraud or reason to believe that the ballots counted after Tuesday are invalid.”
Nevada:
Trump: “Nevada is turning out to be a cesspool of Fake Votes. @mschlapp & @AdamLaxalt are finding things that, when released, will be absolutely shocking!”
Reality: “[Former Nevada Attorney General Adam] Laxalt and [American Conservative Union chair Matt] Schlapp held a press conference Sunday about voter fraud but provided no new evidence and repeated previous claims made in lawsuits and on social media.”
Pennsylvania:
Trump: “Pennsylvania prevented us from watching much of the Ballot count. Unthinkable and illegal in this country.”
Reality: “Republican lawyers acknowledged in court that they had observers on site in Philadelphia, as did Democrats. The counting in Philadelphia was also livestreamed.”
Wisconsin:
Trump: “Wisconsin is looking very good. Needs a little time statutorily. Will happen soon!”
Reality: “Biden defeated Trump by about 20,500 votes in Wisconsin, a margin of about six-tenths of a point. That is within the 1-point margin allowed for the losing candidate to request a recount, something the Trump campaign has said it intends to pursue. ... there have been at least 31 statewide recounts since 2000. Three of those changed the outcome of the election. The initial margins in those races were 137 votes, 215 votes and 261 votes.”

Millions of provisional ballots were discarded, largely in red and swing states.
In midnight blue Massachusetts 60% of provisional ballots were discarded. In blue Boston, precincts ran out of ballots early on and the city’s Election Department suspiciously had all their phones turned off. The Secretary of State had to order State Police to hand deliver ballots from a large cache that was mysteriously not distributed ahead of time as ordered.

The Republican elections board commissioner in Rensselaer County is scheduled to plead guilty after he was accused of carrying out a brazen scheme that allowed him to cast votes in other voters’ names, a local newspaper reported Wednesday.
– Court papers allege that Schofield had applied for absentee ballots for voters who did not want to vote. In some instances, he personally pushed voters to sign absentee ballot envelopes, positioning himself or his associates to commit voter fraud in primary and general elections last year, according to court documents.
> Ballots were counted from at least four voters who were instructed to sign ballot envelopes but were not allowed to complete them, court papers said.
