Chuuya to the rescue
Your whole body starts to shake as you stare at the dark room you're currently in. Holding the blankets around yourself is the only form of protection you have. The shadows around the room seem to be growing, becoming more ominous by the minute.
Chuuya was watching a scary movie earlier that night. He told you not to watch because you always got nightmares easily, but you ignored him like you always did. The only thing you could do as you watched the movie was hold in your screams. When you were around Chuuya all you wanted to do was prove you were strong and brave.
You had known Chuuya since a very young age, and all you wanted to do was prove to him you were strong and no longer needed his protection. You wanted to be the one he came to for help. He was valiant and robust but even he needed help and support from time to time. For so long you had been there for him and he appreciated it, but in the end all you could do was give advice.
"Hello?"
You whispered into the empty room making sure no monsters were hiding in the darkness. You got up and were about to walk through the door to the kitchen when….
"CRACK SCREECH!!"
The sound echoed throughout the room hurting your sensitive ears. In a split second you were on top of the bed and tears were streaming down your cheeks.
"NO I DON'T WANNA DIE PLEASE DON'T EAT ME!?!?!?"You screamed.
The darkness only increased the fear building up in your head. Then the door opened and a bright light swiftly filled the room. The light was bright and warm, compared to your now ice cold skin. Your vision was blurry from all the tears that were filling your eyes, all you could see was a small figure running towards you.
Soft gentle arms pull you into a warm embrace, and you fall on to the bed landing on your back. Gentle humming fills your ears and your tensed up body begins to relax. From behind you came a small growl, and the arm around your waist tightened.
(I need to get away, the monster has me. I need to get away, the monster has me!!) your mind was running ten miles a second.
A rough sleepy voice begins to speak right into your ear,
“It's me Sugar, don't be scared i'll protect you from all the monsters in the world” chuuya said, tightening his grip around your waist without hurting you.
“You scared me! Why would you just run at me like that?!?” you relax and lean into his touch feeling his warmth envelope you.
"It was your fault I warned you about the movie, but you didn't care and tried to act strong" he’s voice was raspy and sounded a bit annoyed. Chuuya pulled the blanket over both of you and kissed your neck softly.
“You’re dumb, but you’re my dumb little chibi”
Chuuya gently flipped you over so that both of you were facing each other. His hand gently caresses your cheek wiping all your tears.
“Is it dumb that I want to impress you, I want you to love me?”
Chuuya stopped caressing your cheek, he cupped your face and looked you straight in the eyes. He looked at you, leaned in and kissed you. His soft gentle lips made contact, making you jump a bit. The both of you stayed like that for a few moments, before finally breaking apart. It didn't take long for your face to grow hot, becoming pink with a faint blush. A finger touches your chin making your head move up.
“I want you to listen to me buttercup, I will never let anyone take you away from me. If there's monsters out there that want to hurt you, bet I will fly them all the way to the moon. You will never be alone; because I will always be here to help you. The little brave act you always try to pull needs to stop. I don't want you trying to force yourself to do things you don't like just to impress me. Please don't change yourself, I love you just the way you are.”
Once again his hands caressed your cheek before kissing you softly and rubbing your back. It didn't take long for tears to fall down your cheeks as happiness began to fill your heart.
“Look what you did shortie, you made me cry! Haha~” you said with a low giggle.
“Don't laugh. I just spilled my heart out to you and now you're laughing and crying. Wait who gave you the right to call me short? I'm taller than you!!!!”
“I did, Hehe~”
You wrap your arms around Chuuyas waist and hold him close to you. Your head is gently placed on Chuuya’s chest and you lay there in the bed listening to the gently drumming of his heart. Sleep comes to you again and all the monsters are gone. All the bad dreams are far far away from your conscience now that Chuuya is here to protect you. He will always be here to help you and give you a painless life full of happiness and smiles.
