oh yeah i wanted to just bring this up bc i am still looking for my stylus and may have to get a new one. Jana is not the only intersex person on their planet, their species has the male/female anatomical dynamic (mullerian and wolferian ducts just to be much more explicit) and because of this intersex variations exist. I see Jana having excess T (compared to a perisex person of their species) and cliteromegaly + internal undescended testes, but that is subject to change as I continue research on intersex variations. (also apologies if I got any of the terms wrong in spelling!!! I'm writing this on a fuzzy mind and empty stomach ToT)
But their variation is like, less important, I was going to use Jana to explore intersexism, and while Jana is in a position of power in comparison to the rest of their species, they still suffer intersexism because they don't hold absolute power, and the only thing they're safe from is IGM specifically because they're a primordial vessel for their planet's god and any attempt to alter a god's creation is seen as heresy + blasphemy. They are fully aware what would have happened to them if they were not in the position they hold.
Jana is considered AFAB and uses they/them because that's what feels right to them (they learn to embrace their intersex identity, they're not a woman but they consider their relationship with Xenon to be sapphic)
