Summary: Youâre the one who always fixes everything when Aro and Caius argue

__________
You knew when Aro stomped out of the throne room looking ready to kill something didnât get his way. He stopped right in front of you with an annoyed glare. You knew anytime your brother made that face he was pissed.
âGo deal with that husband of yours! Heâs nothing but a thorn in my side.â
You raised an eyebrow wondering just what Caius had done to him now.
âAre the two of you fighting again?â
You questioned as Marcus gently pushed Aro forward. He gave you a small smirk before speaking quietly.
âYou deal with Caius and Iâll shove him along.â
You nodded, walking into the throne room where Caius sat looking ready to burn the world down. Closing the door behind you, you moved to take a seat on your husbandâs lap.
âWhat are the two of you arguing about now?â
Caius turned his attention to you.
âDoesnât he drive you crazy? Heâs the reason Iâm ready to shove his head through a window.â
You leaned forward kissing Caiusâ cheek before unwrapping his red scarf.
âYou must forget I grew up with him. Our mother threatened to leave him on a few doorsteps.â
Caius rolled his eyes.
âYour mother deserves sympathy payments. I swear if we could leave I would justâŠâ
Caius stopped mid sentence as you lowered the top of your dress.
âYou were saying?â
Caius watched as you reached behind your body and undid your bra. Tossing it to the floor, you adjusted your position.
âI was saying nothing that mattered.â
Caius replied, reaching out to stroke his thumb over your pink nipple.
âGo ahead. I know you want to.â
You said not fighting when Caius wrapped his mouth around your breast. Your head fell backwards with each suck and nibble.
âDo you want it here or somewhere else?â
He questioned letting your breast fall back. Caius could spend all day with his face in your chest if you would let him but he knew time was limited.
âRight here. Youâre already half naked.â
Caius replied as he reached down to unbuckle his belt.
âAre you wet enough?â
He asked as you moved to place your other leg on the opposite side of his body.
âWhy donât you find out?â
You say seductively. Caius gave you a little smile before reaching between your bodies. You whimpered the moment his middle and index fingers slid inside of you.
âDirty girl. Youâre always ready for me arenât you?â
Caius continued to tease you with his fingers for a few moments until he could tell you were close. When he withdrew his fingers, you whimpered at the loss.
âStop whining, love. Youâre about to have more.â
Caius said as he undid his pants enough to get his length out.
âHere you go, baby.â
He murmured before pushing into you. The two of you whimpered a bit before Caius set up a steady rhythm.
âHarder, my love.â
You moaned. Caius wrapped his mouth back around your nipple as your hands tangled in his hair. He increased his speed enough to have you crying his name.
âClose.â
Was all that you managed to say before coming hard. Caius let go of your breast and shoved his face into your chest. All he could focus on was your wet core spasming around him squeezing him for everything that he was worth. It took maybe an additional minute before Caius filled you.
The two of you sat in your current position not wanting to move. You slowly pulled away, leaning down to kiss your now spent husband.
âFeel better?â
You asked. Caius chuckled, moving to zip his pants back.
âI no longer have the urge to kill your brother. Now, be a good love and go to our chambers. Iâll be there momentarily.â
You nodded, kissing the tip of his nose and headed to the door.
âY/n?â
You turned back to Caius.
âYes, my love?â
Caius gave you a small smile before returning to his typical frown.
âIt should go without saying but you better be naked.â
You blew him a kiss before leaving the throne room a smile. Aro stood outside the door looking very uncomfortable. You gave your brother an innocent smile.
âHeâs okay now. Once again my pussy saved your poor pathetic self from being murdered. You can thank me later. I have to go get naked.â
Patting his shoulder, you skipped away before he could even make a comment. Internally, you chuckled at the horrified expression on your older brotherâs face. Your husband gave you an order and you knew better than to disobey it.

Okay but deeply affectionate đ reader and fiercely protective Demetri
Have a tiny sweet drabble dear Anon đ«¶đ» no warnings apply!
She was placing her hand on his chest. Feeling the warmth in the fur from Demetriâs coat. Looking up at him she creased her brows and parted her lips, she adored him, loved him. Demetri was her forever love.
âStay safe while out there,â she whispered, standing on her toes to kiss his cheek. Her hand now touching his jaw.
Demetri couldnât help but sigh and close his eyes. The touch of his love was everything to him. Encouragement and proof of what he was to do was necessary. He had to go to war for his coven, protect the very future they always had protected. A future for their kind and for humankind alike, a future with peace and prosperity for them.
He leant into the kiss, holding her hand to feel her skin against his.
Demetri would do anything for her, his love. He would fight every single enemy and endure torment for eternity if he had to, just to keep her safe. Her heart was most important to him.
âI will be back before you know it. Please, stay inside the walls when I am gone.â
She cupped both his cheeks now, so close to his face their noses touched. She wanted to cry, she couldnât bear the thought of losing him. Every time he left to protect his coven or the law his masters made centuries ago, she was always worried for his life. Whether he came back dead or scarred for life; both options sounded awful to her. Oh, how she wished she could keep him here. Tucked away in her arms forever. She planted a kiss on his nose, giggling when he sighed.
âI cannot wait without being worried, dear. Stay near Felix, you protect each other so well.â
Demetri kissed her back, then her cheek. Upon hearing her sighs he kissed the crown of her head as well and the palm and back of her hand. Every part of her he could easily reach at the moment.
âI promise, my love.â
âGood.â
He tugged her closer if possible, giving her one more kiss before departing. Demetri knew that when he would return, she would not let him leave her chambers. Utterly devoted, she would kiss and hug him for days. Leaving prints all over his body as to show to others that he is hers only. Demetri dared to quickly bite her neck after the last kiss. Marking her to show the guards staying behind, that she is very well his as much as he is hers. It made her giggle.
âYou know where to find me when you return, my dearest.â
âSweetheart,â he groaned.
He had to go. But Demetri couldnât wait to return to his mateâs affections, to be in her arms once again. She was everything he lived for.
I'm crazy is all I could think about as I stood by myself at night in what looked like a sex trafficking target spot. I thought people would be out at night for the bars or restaurants but no, not one soul was out just my dumbass to see possible Italian mobster. I was right under the clock tower just like he said right in the perfect line of view for a kidnapper. The place was empty and here I was standing in the middle of the place clear view for anyone. It felt like a place a sniper has a bullseye on my forehead right now.
"When you know, you know..." The possible criminal is late, my feet started to wandered to the fountain near by.
"When you know, you know" I sit down on the side of it.
"It kinda makes me laugh, runnin' down that path" My hand runs through the water in the moonlight.
"When you're good as gold....Cause when you know, you know" I hummed along until I could feel a presence looking down at me.
"When you're old, you're old.....Like Hollywood and me, the diamond on your ring...The soul that you bring to the table" I looked up at his fascinating eyes. He was staring at me but it wasn't in a creep way. It was like he was admiring the view...I was it.
"One that makes me sing...In a minor key...Cause when you know, you know" He started to speak but I couldn't hear him. I slowly took out my earpods getting up from my spot.
"Hey" I do a little wave as he just nods and smiles at me.
"Good evening" He gives a very tense smile "I hope you weren't waiting long." He always looks so stiff with his hands behind his back and his stance so straight.
"Oh no...not long" I slowly make my way to him until I'm standing in front of him. We're just staring into each other eyes for a moment. It makes me look down giggling.
"I thought we could have dinner or go dancing or both" He says kindly smirking.
"That sounds fun" I bite my lip while we still stared at each other. He eventually offered me his arm, which I took with a light snort at the action.
He asked me about my day, how I got to his castle and how I met Heidi. I told him how I really just sat in cafes all day drawing and journaling. How it wasn't really Heidi that brought me to the castle but I just thought the castle itself looked interesting and somewhat crashed the tourist group.
"It wasn't Heidi" He asked almost shocked.
"I'm not into girls" I say jesting at his confusion while he looked to be deep in thought.
We got to a little fancy Italian restaurant after a short walk.
Demetri opened the door of the restaurant making me a say a quick thank you as looked at him slightly surprised by the gesture.
The staff looked stressed as Demetri and I walked in but there were no customers in the restaurant.
Demetri and them spoke in Italian as I watched the interaction it was very interesting. The host or owner of the restaurant was sweating profusely while Demetri wasn't rude though I had no idea what they were saying but he looked above the man's head as he talked to him.
The man eventually led us to our table tripping over himself as he walked which I noticed made Demetri roll his eyes while I bit my lip sympathetically. Demetri pulled out my chair for me and tucked me into the table.
"Thanks" I said in a kind of long way as I looked Demetri over intriguingly.
"Do I pique your fascination?" Demetri says teasingly at the look I was giving him as a waitress came shaking as she put glasses of water on the table, stuttered as she spoke to Demetri in Italian before walking.
"You're definitely in the mafia" I deadpanned making Demetri laugh but he ended up biting his lip as if he was thinking about something.
"I think I will leave that a mystery" He said coyly giving me a smirk that made me give him one back.
"A drive by isn't going to happened at any moment" I say with fake worry making him chuckle again.
"Oh no..no drive bys" He genuinely smiled but slowly faltered before he spoke "Would you say you lead an exciting life" he looked at me as if he was inspecting me making me hold back a scoff.
I shrug "I came to Italy on a whim for the summer so I guess I do try when I have time" I say slightly mocking "How about you...do you live an exciting life" I jokingly raise a brow.
"No all very boring" He says genuinely.
"I don't believe that" I say in a mock sly way.
"No its true. My life is extremely boring. This right here actually is the most excitement in months" He says nodding down to the wine that was shakily brought to the table.
"Do you mind if I order for you" He asks me politely making me shrug a little.
"I don't know italian so you might as well surprise me" I say watching him begin to order.
He had such a regal air about him I notice.
Maybe he's a prince. He has to be something special.
"Are you from Italy?" I ask watching the waitress is hurrying away.
"No, Im from Greece" He looked distance for a moment.
"I've always wanted to go Greece" I watched him intrigued by his actions and facial expressions.
He nodded with a somewhat sad smile as if he hadn't been home in a long time.
"How long has it been since you been on a date?" I said starting to get a vibe off him as this made him chuckled but pause biting his lip slyly for a moment.
"I don't really go on dates" He tried to say in the most gentlemanly way which made me chuckle.
"Then what do you go on?" I say mockingly raising my eyebrows at him. The look on his face I would've thought him being so pale I would've seen a blush on his cheeks but he almost looked embarrassed.
"I have a lot of....friends" He tries to say in the most polite way possible but it only makes me laugh.
"And am I to be your friend?" I mockingly inquire. This made all joking manner leave his face.
"No...your-" He says looking at me with eyes that definitely had me blushing.
"Different" I deadpanned interrupting making him smirk.
"Truly" He countered and I smirked at the comment.
"But you are right... I'm not going to be your friend" I playfully scoff as he looks at me intensely.
Me and him stared into each other eyes for a moment. In that moment I realized something. I never believed in love at first sight or soul mates. But this man across this table I feel a pull, a connection that was completely indescribable. I just knew he was going to be a huge part of my life.
A/N: I am very tired and should work on âOne Touchâ but this idea came to me when I took a nap today â€ïž up to you how you interpret the ending but I see it as wholesome myself!
Warnings: none. Itâs a drabble!
The women in the red dress had seduced you so easily. She just needed to smile at you, compliment your looks and ask if you wanted to join this tour abroad in a pretty castle. One photo was enough somehow for you to feel all right. Perhaps her seduction skills were supernatural, inhuman like how she carefully explained to you that they were vampires.
The moment was quite horrifying. Just as she opened the grand doors she spoke loud enough for every tour member to hear, âhave a feast my dear friends.â And before any one of them could grab you, she put her arm around your middle and kept you safe. Her voice sweet and honeylike, she told you with a whisper there that they were vampires. They drank blood to survive. And just like that, she claimed that you had to stay around. She took a liking to you.
His jaw was covered in blood. His eyes pitch black, he smirked at the woman in red and then looked you up and down. The raised eyebrows indicated this was a surprise to him.
You had not yet realised the importance of this moment. You were a gift, she said to him. Something for them to play with.
The conversation around you was terrifying. Yet you felt safe with her arm around your middle, you were holding onto her with both hands. Gulping as you looked at the man.
They were equally good looking. Both tall, red eyes, and that undeniably beautiful smile and voice. And they seemed to be acquainted, perhaps even a couple.
A couple that wanted to play with you.
You knew that could mean anything.
But the truth was that they led you to a room far from this murder room. It was cold, dark and messy with trinkets you could only describe as old and ancient.
Their touches were cold. Their looks curious and they let you get used to their space. Wrapped in an old blanket you watched them play chess. You were sitting on their bed, they sat in leather chairs with a small table, with a chess board placed on top of it, between them. Their movements were fast, yet the time between turns took ages. It was fascinating to look at.
Their curiosity grew when you started yawning, dozing off.
âYou all right, sweetie?â She asked.
âI am just tired.â
She nodded before moving one of her pieces. The frown the man showed after her move made you think she was winning.
You had fallen asleep with the blanket still wrapped around you.
And they were laying next to you when you stirred awake later. His head was right next to yours. So close that you could see different shades of red in his eyes. She was behind you, you could feel her hand touching your back.
âAre you tired too?â You asked him. Did vampires sleep?
He snorted, âno. We are always awake.â
You could feel her nails raking over your back.
âWe were listening to your body. Everything slowed down when you closed your eyes.â She whispered, âmuch slower than when you were awake.â
You gulped, frowning at the implication. âYou? You hear my body?â
âYour heartbeat just quickened when Heidi said it,â the man chuckled. âWe hear every sound you make.â
âYou⊠hear my organs?â
He turned his head to look at you. His pupils grew dark as he looked at your face. You were not afraid before but this look reminded you of how they killed everyone from the tour earlier. They were very much terrifying.
âI hear your heart pumping all that blood throughout your body. Fast and steady. Delicious really.â
âDemetri, do not scare her.â
You looked at his grin. He was not joking.
âWhy are you just laying next to me instead of eating me then?â
You were tired still, wanting to close your eyes and sleep again. The blanket was comforting, so was the bed. You waited for his answer.
âYou are a gift, remember? Heidi wants us to play with you. Itâs interesting to listen and watch you sleep. I havenât seen a human sleeping before.â
You heard the woman, Heidi, snicker at his answer.
âWe shall play tomorrow. When she has rested.â
The promise of such sounded thrilling. You snuggled closer against her torso, letting her wrap her arm around you if she wishes to. You also grabbed the manâs hand, Demetri, to hold during your sleep, much to his surprise.
You could hear them speak just before you were unconscious again.
âYou did find an interesting human, Heidi.â
âI know. I saw her and I knew I had to bring her here.â
Summary: Everything about you is perfect...almost.

____
Almost perfectâŠ
That was what Caius described you as, in his mind. He adored nearly everything about you. The only downside was your humanity. Thatâs what made you almost perfect.
Never in a million years did Caius think that he would fall in love with a human. Love itself was a foreign feeling. Caius, himself, called love a weakness. Love was a stupid, silly idea to woo silly little girlsâŠthen you showed up and delightfully ruined everything!
You showed up and smacked him upside the head with a feeling heâd never experienced. At first, he was terrified. You were everything that he was not. You were sweet, funny, and all around a good person. There were a lot more words Caius could use to describe you, but he always ended up in the middle of left field, wondering how the hell he had gotten there.
You didnât mind his emotional instability or how his temper would fly off of the handle. In fact, you could calm him down with only a simple little smile. You could even put a smile on his face. That in itself was a feat that hardly anyone else could accomplish.
Everything was perfectâŠuntil it wasnât. It was a normal Thursday when you woke up with a headache. When you didnât come down to harass Caius over whatever small subject, he knew something was off.
âY/n?â
Caius stepped into your shared room with a frown on his face. You lay buried under a bunch of blankets.
âUnder here. I think my head is going to explode.â
You whined. Caius frowned again before moving to sit down beside you on the bed. He carefully went through each layer of the blanket until he found you.
âThis isnât normal.â
He commented as your paler than normal face came into his view. You shook your head, pushing your face against his thigh. The light of the room was too much. You were thankful for his dark clothing, being able to drown all of that messy sunlight out.
âNo. I feel like my head is going to explode.â
âYou rarely get sick.â
Caius said, his frown intensifying. This was his worry. You becoming ill, and he wouldnât have the slightest idea what to do.
Other than change herâŠ
That had been the subject for some time. You had agreed to it, but no date was set. In fact, you agreed to it early in the relationship. That was one of Caiusâ specific terms before he ever agreed to entertain the idea of being with a human.
âYeah, well, Iâm pretty sure Iâm dying.â
You murmured. Caius shook his head.
âIâll send Heidi to find something to make this stop. I would hope if you were dying, I would have figured it out by now.â
Caius replied, stroking his hand through your hair. His cold skin felt very nice on your throbbing head.
âCan you leave your hand there? The cold feels nice.â
âIf thatâs what you want, darling.â
Over the coming weeks, the migraines continued. They seemed to be coming more frequently and more severely than the last.
âI think itâs time you see a doctor. Heidi can take you.â
Caius finally said after what had to be headache 25.
âMaybe youâre right.â
You replied, sick of feeling like death. Caius was surprised you agreed so easily. Normally, you had an aversion to even considering seeing a doctor. A few bad experiences in your life have left you with a fear of doctors.
âThatâs the easiest you have ever agreed to anything. We can get this figured out and get you out of misery.â
You turned back to Caius with a smirk.
âOr you could just change me, and we can skip the doctor altogetherâ
Caius gently kissed your forehead.
âIâll change you soon enough.â
He replied. Caius planned to. He was simply enjoying your last little bit of humanity. As much as Caius looked forward to no longer having to be so careful with you, he would miss certain details. He would miss your beautiful eyes. He would miss the way your cheeks would flush when he said something off the cuff or when the two of you made love. Caius would miss seeing those cute pink cheeks and tears streaming down your eyes as you were overstimulated, unable to moan his name.
âI can accept that.â
You replied, moving to kiss his cheek before getting up.
âIâll be back soon.â
An hour later you sat in the doctorâs office feeling like a glorified pincushion. You had been poked, prodded, and scanned so many times that you lost count.
Sitting in the cold room, you were glad when Heidi stepped in. She had left the moment the nurse came to draw blood. You didnât blame her either.
âIâm sorry. I would have stayed butâŠâ
You smiled and squeezed Heidiâs hand.
âYou donât have to explain. I understand, Heidi.â
She relaxed beside you. The last thing that she wanted was to have to explain to Caius why she had bitten you.
âHopefully they can figure out whatâs causing these headaches.â
You said, nervously. Heidi only nodded. She knew if it was anything bad, Caius would simply change you. If it was something not so terminal, you could get medicine and feel better.
The moment the doctor stepped in, you knew something was wrong. The expression on your face told you everything that you needed to know. He sat down and stared at you for a moment before speaking.
âI got the results of your test back. Iâm sorry to be so blunt but you have a brain tumor. That is the cause of your headachesâŠ.â
After that, the words seemed to blur together, and you couldnât even comprehend the rest. Had it not been for Heidi squeezing your hand, you may have even forgotten why you were in the room.
âHow long does she have?â
Heidiâs voice pulled you from your trance. The doctor appeared thoughtful again.
âWith treatment, maybe a year. WithoutâŠa few months. The migraines will get worse and more frequent.â
Heidi managed a small âohâ before going back to squeezing your hand.
After leaving the doctor, you turned to Heidi.
âI donât want to just dump this news on everyone. Iâm still taking it inâŠthey will figure it out soon enough.â
âCaius will ask.â
You only nodded. While you knew you had the option of being changed, knowing your mortal life was coming to an end so rapidly and suddenly was still a lot to take in.
âI know.â
You murmured, as if on autopilot.
The moment you stepped into the throne room, Caius was on his feet. He frowned, seeing that look on your face.
âWell?â
He questioned. You stared at him for a moment before turning and leaving the room. At the moment, you didnât think that you could even get the words out.
âAre you going to tell me or do I need to start guessing?â
You turned to see Caius walk in the door. Without even meeting his eyes, you knew that he was annoyed.
âItâs not good.â
Caius stood motionless for a moment as he took in your words. He quickly moved to stand beside you.
âJust tell me, Y/n.â
âI have a brain tumor. He said I only have a few months to liveâŠif I donât do the treatment.â
Caius quickly reached out, pulling your body against his. The anger started to build yet again. He should have gone with you. Granted, Caius would have probably killed the doctor for making you panic like this (even if it really wasnât the poor manâs fault).
âIâm changing you. You donât get to come into my life and just check out. Everything will be fine, darling. You know I wonât let anything happen to you.â
You nodded, sniffing against Caiusâ shoulder.
âI know. I wasnât expecting that news. It was just a shock.â
Caius gently leaned your body back in his arms.
âIâm sure. Iâm sorry that you had to find out like that. Do you believe me when I say that youâll be fine?â
You nodded.
âPlease donât go kill the doctor. He did what he was supposed to.â
Caius chuckled before leaning down to kiss you.
âYou know me so well. Iâll leave the human alone. Youâve always been almost perfect. Now youâll be completely perfect.â

Summary: Acting on jealousy is never a good idea. After a threat to your relationship returns, you make bad decisions.
Rating: M for later scenes
___
AngryâŠangry and jealous. That describes your current situation. Since Athenadora showed up for a âfriendlyâ visit, your life seemed to be going to hell!
Going? Itâs already gone.
You thought coldly as Athenadora laughed over something Caius said. Rolling your eyes, you tried to stay focused on the book that you were reading. When you did look up, Aro was giving you a sympathetic expression while Marcus glared at Caius. It was pretty bad when even Marcus was annoyed.
From the moment that Caiusâ ex showed up, the other woman seemed to be anywhere and everywhere Caius was. He was talking to her more than he did to you on a good day. To make matters worse, the two of you were barely spending any time together. Whenever Caius tried to spend time with you, Athenadora showed up (like some bad disease). He had barely been able to kiss you, let alone have any intimate time alone.
After a week, you had stopped even trying to get your loverâs attention. Clearly, he wasnât interested in you in the slightest. You had tried to tell yourself that they had a history and a long one at that, so, of course, they would have things to talk. After a while, however, you had lost whatever kindness that you had within yourself.
While she hadnât said anything threatening about your relationship, actions spoke louder than words. Athenadora didnât seem to care that you were Caiusâ wife now. All she seemed to be interested in was shoving it in your face that she had a better relationship (even when they werenât together) than you ever had. She would give you a coy little smile as if daring you to say one word against her.
You focused your attention back on Aro and gave him a nod. Something told you that Aro would have some choice words for Caius later. You didnât care either. Maybe Aro could pull that stick out of Caiusâ ass and make him realize just what was happening.
Athenadora giggling finally made you have enough. You closed your book and stood up without a word. Caiusâ eyes rolled to you, inquiring where you were going. Without looking at him, you bid Aro a good evening before leaving the room without another word.
Once in the comfort of your bedroom, you began to pace the room. You were filled with nothing but rage and the sheer desire to go back downstairs and pull all of Athenadoraâs blonde hair out of her head.
Clearly, it wonât do any good.
You thought calmly, sitting down. Would Caius take her back if she wanted to return? Where would that leave you? Caius had turned you years before, but would that matter to him if Athenadora wanted to resume their relationship?
âLike hell I am going to stick around for that. I am not about to sit and watch them be all over each other. I would rather be on my own.â
You said out loud. Admitting those words was a lot different than thinking them. You had never been on your own. From the time that Caius turned you, you had always been with him. The prospect of being alone was both terrifying and intriguing. You could go somewhere that you had never been before. Maybe see some things you always wanted to see but never got around to it?
Walking to the vanity, you opened the top drawer in search of the blue contacts that you had hidden for when you left the safety of home. There was no way that you could be running about with red eyes. Like hell you would make some spectacle of yourself that would result in your death. No one was worth risking your life over anymore.
You waited silently for a moment before walking to the window and opening it. The last thing that you wanted was to be halfway out the window and Caius walk in. You could see the pissed-off expression on his face in your mind.
What excuse would I even use? Oh, Iâm just out here to kill myself? Oh, wait, Iâm already deadâŠcarry on.
You thought with a silent chuckle. Caius wouldn't find it funny. He would probably lock you in the bedroom for the next few months for a stunt like this.
He was going to be pissed enough when he read the epic goodbye letter that you had left on the bed (along with your wedding ring). Actually seeing you hopping out the window would only result in your punishment.
After hearing no footsteps in the hallway, you decided that if you were going to leave, this was the moment. Taking a breath, you hopped out of the window without another thought. Once you were safely on the ground, you put your shields up. You had never been more thankful for your gift of shielding than you were right now. Hopefully, you could keep Caius and Demetri off of your trail. Glancing over your shoulder, you waited a moment longer before disappearing into the darkness.
An hour or so later, Caius stepped into the bedroom. He had been on an epic quest to find you for a while. You werenât in any of your usual places.
âDarling?â
Caius sighed, seeing no sign of you in the bedroom either. He knew that you were frustrated with him. All it took was looking at your face. Caius only wished that you would realize that there was nothing between Athenadora and him anymore. He didnât have any feelings for her other than tolerance.
The gleam of your wedding ring caught his attention. With a frown, Caius walked to where the ring lay on top of a paper with his name on it. Picking up the letter, Caius was silent for a moment before the realization of your words hit home.
You were gone. You had left him.
âThis better be some kind of joke that I donât understand.â
Caius said coldly before turning and storming back to the throne room, where Aro sat talking to Marcus.
âAre the two of you in on it? Think this is funny, do you?â
Aro raised an eyebrow.
âIn on what?â
Caius practically threw the letter at Aro before beginning to pace like a ravenous lion. Aro raised an eyebrow before reading over the letter. With wide eyes, he passed it over to Marcus, who had the same reaction.
âWe arenât in on anything, brother. Are you positive that Y/n has vanished?â
Caius nodded, shaking in rage.
âShe left without her wedding ring. Demetri!â
Demetri stepped into the room with Felix behind him.
âYes? You called?â
Caius stopped pacing. He had to find you and fast. You had never been on your own without him. What if someone or something tried to harm you? He wouldnât be able to live with himself if you were hurt.
âWe are going to find Y/n. We are going to find her and drag her home where she belongs.â
Demetri and Felix gave each other wary expressions, clearly figuring out what was going on. Aro quickly stood up to intervene.
âYou have no idea where sheâs gone.â
Caius stared at Aro as if he were the dumbest being he had ever met.
âThatâs why Iâm going to look for her. Make sure Athenadora is gone before I get back.â
Aro shook his head.
âCaius, let Demetri go track her. He should go instead of you being out terrorizing the village.â
Demetri frowned as he tried to lock onto anything about you he could. The moment he stepped out of the door, everything went blank. It was as if you vanished in a puff of smoke.
âCaius, she has her shields up. She is blocking everything. I canât see where she is or where sheâs going. Until she drops them, Iâm locked out.â
Caius didnât wait for Aro to object before angrily walking outside and into the darkness.
Three weeks laterâŠ
You had been on your own for three weeks. In three weeks, you had been to multiple countries while successfully avoiding Demetri and Felix. You had nearly been caught a few times but always got away right in time.
Seeing Demetri and Felix so worried made you feel guilty for avoiding them. Caius was probably back in Volterra, giving them hell for always turning up empty-handed. Maybe in time, you could find a way to apologize to them for causing so much trouble.
You were slowly learning how to make it on your own without Caius hovering. Hunting wasnât as hard as it seemed. You had learned to use your good looks to your advantage. Conning men and even women into âgoing outside for some airâ was a lot easier than you had planned.
Even when you werenât hunting, you found yourself sitting in bars observing humans and their interactions. You found yourself forgetting a lot of the details from your mortal life. After growing up in an abusive home with an alcoholic father, remembering details like going out with friends or what âyou enjoyedâ was nearly a foreign concept.
After watching mortals enough for one night, you turned to leave the bar without a word to anyone around you. The streets were fairly empty at 1 am on a Saturday. You turned to go back to the hotel room that you were renting for the week before moving on to the next stop on your âY/n sees the worldâ tour.
âWell, well, wellâŠlook who it is.â
You stopped walking and turned to see Stefan and Vladimir looking at you with matching looks of contempt.
âIf it isnât the blonde maniacâs little guardian angel.â
Vladimir said with a sneer. You quickly put your shield up before stepping backwards.
âStefan, Vladimir, what a lovely time to meetâŠagain.â
You commented, keeping your voice calm. Stefan and Vladimir were no strangers to you. Their hatred of the Volturi was also no secret to you. You had witnessed the shared hatred between your family and what was left of the Romanian coven early in your life.
âWe are shocked that Caius let you out of his sight. Here you are all alone and unprotected.â
Stefan said with a chuckle. Keeping your expression as neutral as possible, you sighed.
âIt will surprise you to know that I know how to cross the street on my own. Iâm not a little girl. You know, I think the only thing that the two of you have going for you is that sexy accent.â
Vladimir laughed.
âDonât try to flatter us, Y/n.. It's too bad you reek of Italian scum.â
You shrugged.
âI suppose that's what happens when you are rolling around in bed with someone.â
You couldnât help but laugh at the grossed-out expressions on Vladimir and Stefanâs faces. Vladimir recovered first.
âI see Caius didnât tell you not to mess with beings thousands of years older than you, sweetheart. You can keep your little shield up as long as you want, but eventually you will let it fall. We can stand here for eternity, if you would like. You wonât be going back to Volterra alive. That deranged maniac of a husband of yours will have to find someone else to watch his backâŠmaybe go find himself another guardian angelâ
Your eyes fluttered between Stefan and Vladimir. The sting about Caius finding another âguardian angelâ hurt. While neither man truly knew the reason that you were out here on your own, you did. The sting of Caius ignoring you for Athenadora was still fresh in your mind.
Swallowing back the pain, you werenât going to let Vladimir or Stefan see you falter.
âSoâŠboysâŠwhat do we do? Sit here and stare at each other for eternity? Wonât that get a little boring?â
Stefan stepped closer. His angry red eyes looked on your face.
âIt will be a joy seeing the expression on Caiusâ face when he realizes that it was I who killed you. Iâll be returning the favor for the witch twins killing my wife. A queen for a queenâŠâ
âHell will freeze over first.â
You froze, hearing that voice. Vladimir and Stefan spun around, seeing Caius glaring at them with Felix, Demetri, Jane, and Alex behind him.
âWe found something that belongs to you.â
Vladimir said coldly. You turned your attention back to your lover, who looked angrier than you had ever seen. His red eyes were focused on Vladimir, waiting for any excuse to attack the other man.
âIâm taking her back, then tearing the two of you to shreds.â
Caius replied coldly before walking directly to you. The look on his face alone showed you how angry he was. He made sure that you were unharmed before turning to Alec.
âAlec, get her out of here.â
Caius said before shoving you forward. Alec had his arm around yours in an instant.
âWe should go.â
He replied before forcing you away from the scene without another wordâŠ

______
Renesmee stood motionless for a while. She was trying to take in everything but it wasnât computingâŠ. at least not properly. Had you really taken off to Volterra to be with Caius? Why had you chosen him? What did he have to offer you? He was too old, too dangerousâŠtoo far away. There were too many âtoosâ and not enough reason for Renesmee to even consider a positive.
Reluctantly, she turned and walked downstairs, where her family sat. Edward was the first to turn around and automatically frowned, seeing the devastated expression on his daughterâs face. Everyone turned at the same time, making Renesmee even more uncomfortable.
âWhat is it?â
Bella asked. Renesmee reluctantly handed Edward the letter.
âY/n is gone. Sheâs in ItalyâŠâ
Emmett tilted his head.
âWhatâs in Italy? Did she want pizza or something? She could have found it a lot closer.â
âCaius is in Italy.â
Renesmee said before wincing. Emmett frowned while Carlisleâs mouth dropped.
âPlease tell me not that Caius.â
Emmett said as Edward gasped. Jasper winced as everyone's emotions began to swirl.
âHow many other people with that name do we know?â
He muttered. Edward stood, his hands shaking.
âOh, my god. Yes, that Caius.â
Carlisle and Bella quickly rushed to Edwardâs side, reading the letter. Bellaâs hands were over her mouth. Emmett looked ready to be sick. Rosalie, Esme, and Alice looked ready to cry, if they could.
âHow did this happen?â
Esme managed to ask. Edward and Bella stared at each other, realizing they now had the answer to their questions.
Carlisle turned back to his wife with a pained yet still calm expression. He knew how seductive The Volturiâs promise could be, along with how dangerous.
âShe had to be manipulated! There would be no way Y/n would go for that.â
Emmett yelled. It was the only thing that made sense. Why would you fall in love with someone who wanted you dead to begin with? In what universe did any of this make sense?
âWhat did we miss? Why him?
Bella muttered, sitting down. She felt sick. None of this made any sense to her. What did you see in Caius? What if he hurt you? Bella knew from firsthand experience that he wasnât kind.
Edward was busy blaming himself. Had he failed as a father? Were you trying to tell him something and just missed it? He had taught you your whole life to stay away from The Volturi. Now you were with one of the head idiots in charge.
Carlisle turned to Alice.
âAlice, did you see anything?â
Alice, looking horrified, shook her head.
âI didnât see anything.â
Emmett was on his feet.
âIâm going to get her. Iâm going to Italy, throwing her little ass over my shoulder, and bringing her back home. If sheâs that desperate for a relationship, we can find someone who doesnât hate us.â
Carlisle held a hand up, stopping Emmett.
âDonât act rashly. We need to figure out whatâs going on before acting on emotions.â
Alice had been sitting, trying to use her powers. Finally, a spark of hope, a vision that finally came through.
You sat on Caiusâ lap, staring out the window of a jet in a black dress that showed far too much thigh for your auntâs liking. Caiusâ hand was locked around yours as he stared at your face. He was staring at you as if you were a rare work of art.
âMy family probably knows now.â
You said, softly. Caius didnât make an expression before tilting your face to his for a kiss. Your eyes closed, enjoying every moment of Caius' mouth on yours.
âYouâre a grown woman, and you make your own decisions. A grown woman who looks absolutely stunning in this dress. These beautiful thighs have been haunting me since the first time I saw them.â
You chuckled, kissing his cheek. This wasnât a fake laugh. This was the kind of giggle Alice gave Jasper when he made lewd comments. This was "couple" talk.
âThatâs why you like having them around your head.â
Caius shrugged.
âOne of the reasons. Look, I know you love your family, but they will never accept us. I will never be good enough for them.â
A frown formed on your face as you considered his words. You sat a moment before kissing Caius again. This time it was a little more heated than the kiss before. This was showing your feelings. This was the kiss that told him that he would always be good enough.
âYouâre good enough for me. Thatâs all that matters. I love you.â
Caius leaned back in the seat, pulling your body closer to his to deepen the kiss.
âI love you too.
Alice flinched at the vision before finding the will to look at her family. She looked a mixture of disgusted and devastated.
âHeâs being gentle with her. She loves himâŠand he loves her.â
Edward, Emmett, and Jasper all looked ready to vomit. Carlisle had to turn his back to hide his disgusted expression. Esme reached up, squeezing his hand.
âSo, what do we do?â
Rosalie finally asked. She found it hard to speak. The two of you had been incredibly close. Now Rosalie wondered if you were trying to tell her something, and she overlooked it.
Edward stood up, rubbing a hand over his face.
âIâm all for letting Emmett go retrieve her, then Iâm kicking Caiusâ ass.â
Emmett shook his head.
âIâll kill him first.â
Carlisle turned again.
âNo one is killing anyone. Look, I know everyone is upset, but we have to handle this delicately. If we turn up and start ordering Y/n what to do, she will have a family of four with this man just to spite us. Caius will see to that.â
Emmett was on his feet, pacing the room while Jasper finally managed to speak.
âOh shit! I didnât even think about that!â
Emmett turned to Bella and Edward.
âYou both had the sex talk with her, right?â
Edward and Bella nodded uncomfortably. Emmett sat down.
âLetâs hope it sticks because I canât even process that. We need to find Y/n and just say NO.â
Edward leaned back on the couch, unable to think clearly. Bella stood up and moved to the window.
âWe can forbid her to see him; then we will all be shopping for wedding clothes. Carlisle is right. We have to handle this delicately.â
Jacob, stepping into the room, paused the conversation until he noticed everyoneâs expressions. Renesmee walked over to him, looking ready to cry.
âWhatâs wrong?â
Renesmee sniffed.
âY/nâs is gone.â
Jacob frowned.
âI literally saw her yesterday. What do you mean?â
Edward handed Jacob the letter. Jacob read the letter. Like everyone else, he frowned before speaking.
âCaiusâŠthe one that looks like an angry Jeffree Star?â
Emmett finally laughed.
âThank god for you, Jacob, and yes, thatâs the guy."
Jasper smirked, leaning back. This was the first time that day that he actually smiled.
"If we ever do come across him again. I probably wouldn't call him that."
Jacob instantly realized why Renesmee was in such a state and everyone looked ready to kill.
âI suppose I should thank him for taking the heat off of me, but seriously, what do we do?â
Edward shrugged.
âNo clue, but wait until she sees what kind of man her boyfriend really is. Heâs not what sheâs thinking. I donât like the idea of my daughter being in love with a literal monster.â
Renesmee sniffed again. The way Edward said monster, made her heart freeze. You, her perfect sister, didnât need some man who could hurt you in a fucked to game. You deserved a white fence and a pet or two, not living in a cold castle where you were an object of obsession.
âWe need to go get her. Iâll go get her and tell Caius that he doesnât need Y/n like I do.â
Bella gently patted her daughterâs hand.
âWe will figure something out.â
(Meanwhile)
The moment you walked into the throne room at Caiusâ side, Aro stood up. Both he and Marcus exchanged glances before Aro turned, clearly confused. You wanted to laugh at how Aro was clearly trying to figure out if the rest of your family was âabout to turn up in his living room.â
âY/n Cullen, itâs a pleasure to see you. Caius, whatâs going on?â
Caius reached for your hand. Again, Aro and Marcus looked completely flabbergasted. Demetriâs eyes were wide in shock as Felix moved to stand next to his friend, deciding not to engage. The last thing Felix wanted to do was talk about how he had been subjected to the biggest make-out fest he had ever seen.
âSheâs mine. That is all that anyone needs to know.â
Aro blinked.
âIs her family aware? I simply need to know if we should prepare for angry members of Carlisleâs coven to visit.â
Caius shrugged, not seeming at all concerned.
âIâm sure they do now. You can prepare and do whatever you would like.â
Aro nodded before smiling. Luck was really shining on him. Not only was Caius back, but now Aro got something that he wantedâŠa member of the Cullen family with a gift.
âNow I know why you have been smiling so much. Y/n, welcome home, darling.â
Caius squeezed your hand and turned to the door.
âCome on, darling.â
You turned to follow Caius as Aro sat down.
âWe can continue this conversation later, Caius.â
Aro said. Caius didnât turn. He kept his attention solely focused on you.
âI look forward to it.â
He replied, leading you out of the throne room.
Once the door was closed, Marcus turned to Aro.
âI see the bond. He isnât faking it or doing something spiteful.â
Aro made an interesting âhmmâ noise, then smiled.
âOur old friend Carlisle is probably fit to be tied. I know I would be if I were him. Of all the men that little girl could have chosen, she chose Caius. It is rather amusingâŠand fortunate for us.â
Marcus nodded.
âIndeed. One would hope that she evens out Caiusâ moods.â
Aro chuckled.
âThe right woman can do many wonders.â
(Meanwhile)
You sat between Caiusâ legs in a large, hot, steaming claw-foot tub. Your head was leaning back against his chest, enjoying the quiet of the moment.
âIâve never done this with a woman.â
He commented. This was actually quite peaceful, and he was really enjoying it.
âPeace is nice. I assume that youâre used to pure chaos.â
Caius stroked a hand between her breasts, his fingertips grazing her nipple.
âYouâve met the people I work with. Aro is pure cinematic chaos, and Iâm constantly making sure Marcus doesnât put a fork in a toasterâŠnot that it would hurt him in the slightest, but he would try anything to die. You do realize that I wonât be able to be with you constantly. I still have a job to do.â
You turned so you could put a leg on either side of his body. Stroking a finger down his chest, you leaned in for a kiss.
âIâm aware. It will make our time together all the more special.â
Caius nodded, closing his eyes. He could definitely get used to this attention. Originally, he thought having a mate would be miserable. Nothing sounded delightful about having one person to look after and please. He would much rather âlove them and ditch themâ when it came to women⊠and then you came along and shook everything up.
Now, Caius didnât feel that way. Knowing that you would be his and his only, having a mate didnât sound so awful.
Having something to come back to doesnât seem so bad.
It would be nice to have you waiting for him, especially after a rough trial. You could be the comfort he needed.
âWhat is the plan if my parents turn up? Something tells me that they will.â
Caiusâ scarlet eyes fluttered open.
âI promised that I wouldnât kill them. Thatâs speaking volumes for the level of patience that I have for your family. Iâll behave for you, not because I want to.â
Caius had been ready to wipe the world clean of the Cullens for a long time. Now knowing that he wouldnât be able to was sort of a letdown. As much as Caius wanted to watch them all burn, he couldnât do that to you. If he wanted one way to lose you, that would probably be it. He promised that he wouldnât hurt them. Never was there an agreement to like them or get along with them.
âWhether they show up or not, I choose you. I donât want to go back.â
âYouâre not going anywhere. I can assure you of that.â
Caius said, his voice becoming icy. His promise of not hurting your family sounded less âpromisingâ if Edward tried to physically take you.
You could feel the tension starting to build.
âLetâs forget them for now and just focus on this. Iâm very much naked on top of you.â
Caius chuckled at that.
âThat is usually how you spend most of your time when we are together, naked.â
Slipping your hand beneath the water, you wrapped your hand around his cock. Slowly pumping him under the water, you began to kiss down his neck. You were unsure how long Caius would let you tease him before he would have his way with you. However long it would last, you would enjoy the momentary time of âbeing in control.â
âLike I could stay away nowâŠyouâve turned me into a little slut for you.â
You whispered. Caius lightly groaned, enjoying each movement of your hand.
âYouâre a little tease, is what you are. You picked that damned black dress knowing what your thighs do to me. I had to sit there and behave while Felix hovered.â
You lifted your body enough for Caius to push inside of you.
âPoor Felix. He canât help it that you like my thighs around your head.â
Your head rolled back as Caius rocked into you painfully slow. Something told you that you would pay for this soon. It would only be a matter of time before the dam would break and his need for control would come back.
âI should have sent him to another part of the jet. I could have spent hours between your legs. Tilt your head to the side.â
You did as you were told. Caius leaned forward, sucking hungrily at your neck. Your hips bucked forward the moment he bit down.
âYouâre going to mark me up, arenât you?â
You moaned. Caius licked the blood off your neck before pulling you down for another kiss.
âYou have no idea, love. Iâm going to mark you up and keep marking you up for the rest of eternity. Your blood is by far my favorite.â
Caius placed slow, open-mouth kisses back to the place he had bitten. Your eyes closed as you became aware of his hand slipping over your clit. Caius made a few gentle circles until you moaned his name.
âCan you just take me to bed already?â
You asked, voice becoming strained. Caius patted your thigh.
âI thought you would never ask. Now get off of me.â
You didnât wait to be told twice. Getting out of the tub, you quickly dried off and went back to the bedroom. At the moment, the last thing that you wanted was to be told twice to do anything.
Lying back, you waited until Caius came back to the bedroom. Spreading your legs, you wanted to give him all of the possible clues that you were ready. The light sex in the tub was enough to make your head dizzy. You were desperate for a little more vigorous friction.
âYouâll always be the most beautiful thing in my bed.â
Caius turned, kneeling between your legs.
âBut I want you now.â
You pouted. Caius chuckled, yanking your legs a bit wider.
âYou canât always get what you want. Now, be a good girl and touch yourself, but donât you dare even think about coming.â
He ordered, kissing up your legs and stopping at your inner thighs. His eyes rolled up to your face as your hand slipped between your legs. Your index and middle finger slowly slipped over your clit as Caius resumed sucking a love bite onto your thigh.
Heat began to pool between your thighs as Caius shoved your hand away.
âThatâs enough.â
He murmured, his mouth taking the place of your fingers. Tossing your head back into the pillow, you moaned at each swipe of Caiusâ tongue.
âPlease.â
You whimpered, your thighs wrapping around his head.
âThere we go, baby.â
Caius said against your clit. Your hand fell between your legs and locked into his hair. With each tug, you earned a low growl from your lover.
âIâm close.â
You managed to choke out. Caius quickly moved away, making you cry out. A choked moan escaped your lips as he pushed back inside. He quickly manhandled you onto your stomach.
âAss up, sweetheart.â
Caius said through gritted teeth. He wrapped a hand around your wrist, placing it over your womb. With each thrust, your body bulged a little. Seeing stars, you felt his cock harden a bit more.
âFeel that? Feel how good you take me?â
You wrapped your hands in the sheets, hoping to gain some leverage as Caius held you firmly in place. Your body began to convulse around him, desperate for release. Caius reached, grabbing a handful of your hair, painfully pulling your head back. You could only nod, focusing on not coming until you were told to. The last thing that you wanted was to come too early and give Caius a reason to edge you to the brink of orgasm until you were a crying withering mess.
âCome for me. I need to feel you.â
He whispered. Waves of pleasure immediately crashed through your body, wrecking any hope that you had of lasting longer. Caius followed a moment later, spilling deep inside of you.
You were barely able to breathe when he kissed the nape of your neck.
âYouâre going to be the death of me.â
Caius commented as he withdrew enough to pull your body against his. You lay quietly, trying to breathe while Caius stroked a hand through your hair. Over the past year together, Caius was getting better with aftercare. It was no longer just sex, then him going off to do whatever it was. Now he would lie and hold you.
âNot if you donât kill me first.â
You replied. Caius chuckled.
âIâll give you a moment to rest, then we are going again. You have a long night ahead of you.â

A/N: Needed some comfort so I wrote something short silly cute â€ïž
It felt like a huge weight was placed on top of you. Every muscle refusing to work- your entire body tired and sore. You were tired- so tired that you could sleep for days.
He was holding you close against his chest. Both arms around your torso, his chin on your shoulder, he simply held you quietly. His skin was cold against yours, a contrast to the warmth of the bathwater. You liked it; like you were embraced by both ice and fire. Safe in the arms of both.
You lifted your hand to reach for his head. Scratching his scalp, making him shudder and purr. He distracted you, making you smile. Demetri immediately tugged you closer against him. The action so quickly that water splashed on the tiles next to the tube. He made you giggle: kissing your shoulder, then your neck, your cheek and then he used one of his hands to grab your chin so he could kiss your lips.
He knew about the weight you felt on your shoulders. The heaviness and soreness your muscles carried on days like these. As if everything was too hard. It did not happen often but he knew what to do. Holding you close was all you needed from him.
You stayed like this with Demetri until the water was as cold as his skin. Too tired to get up you just leant against his chest. Fingers entwined, your eyes closed, it was comforting. That was until Demetri purred that you had to get out or your skin would stay wrinkled like that forever.
Carrying you smoothly out of the tub to the bed. You could feel his gaze on you. Soft crinkled eyes, a small smile adorning his face, he was checking on you. Demetri laid down on the bed with you on top- letting you rest your head on his chest with your limbs spread over his body. You were so tired that you barely had any control over your limbs.
You giggled, looking up at him with halfclosed eyes, âI love you.â
âDo you?â He teased, grabbing the blanket to cover your body.
âWith everything I have,â you started mumbling. âForever.â The words were slurred, sleep taking over quickly.
Demetri smirked. Watching the way you tried to say a few more things. Even with his vampiric hearing he couldnât make out what you said; it was too slurred to understand. But he tugged you closer, sighing as he looked up at the ceiling. You would sleep for several hours and then the weight of tiredness would be lifted from your shoulders.
âLove you too.â He whispered, ensuring that you wouldnât wake up.
