when he first finds out he doesn’t believe it’s real

it can’t be real

how could someone had found his home colony? They were well hidden, didn’t do anything that could draw much attention 

they were peaceful and wouldn’t hurt anybody 

but maybe that’s why Sendak decided to end it 

he secretly sends people to check it out and look for survivors

there are few survivors. Maybe 10 in total survived the attack 

his wife and daughter was not among those numbers. 

Kolivan found a new reason to fight

he wanted to avenge the deaths of his family and friends

avenge his home 

he wanted to kill Sendak, above all 

kill him or die trying

victory or death now became his mantra, deep down

then he receives a photo 

it’s his daughter, locked up and looking angry

tbh he’s proud his daughter is fighting

so flipping proud

he vows to rescue her 

later, when the war is over, his daughter tells Kolivan all the degrading things Sendak had made her do 

“the only thing that kept me going was knowing that you’d be proud if I fought” she admits 

Some things remain the same, but something else changes for the better ♥

 Day 1 - New Year 

they overslept the midnight

I miss my blue son

So I'm weird and I read the descriptions for all the episodes, and the first one it said "lance had to ask allura something important ". Now I knew it would be about a date, but what if it wasn't? What if they actually made it make sense with lance as a character?

What if he wanted to stop piloting the red lion? What if everything this boy went through became too much and he just couldn't do it anymore? He was finally back with his family, something he has wanted for the longest time, and maybe hes afraid if he goes to space again he won't come back?

This would have made a better story overall and it could have made allurance build more. Like he asks allura to stay on earth, and she is honestly shocked. She doesn't give him an answer and she finds the rest of the team, and asks what they should do.

Allura could come clean about Lance's death, keith could let the team know about Lance's insecurities and then they could find away to help lance as a team. They could find lance and tell him how important he is. That hes a good pilot, a good fighter, a good friend. Reassure him that they want him on the team, that they want to finish this fight together.

And for once lance could feel loved by his friends and he could decide to finish the fight with his team.

And then they could have built up to allurance. Have it naturally progress instead of just throwing it in. They could have had allura live and not give lance random altean marks.
