🇯🇵
I spent an afternoon walking through Tokyo, specifically Ebisu. Compared to places like Shibuya or Shinjuku, Ebisu feels more relaxed and a lot more local. I used the VoiceMap app as a guide.
The walk started outside the station at the Ebisu statue, named after one of Japan’s Seven Lucky Gods and the Yebisu Beer that used to be brewed nearby. It’s a simple starting point, but it set the tone.
From there, it’s mostly about walking. The streets are clean, the shops are low-key, and everything feels intentional without being overdesigned. Ebisu is balanced. It’s urban, but not hectic. Stylish, but not performative. It feels like a place people actually live in, not just pass through.
If you want a different side of Tokyo, this is where to spend a few hours.
Bonus: I went to lookout Godzilla in Shinjuku and I also am including an airport shot.
When in Montevideo, explore the old city with this audio tour.
Thanx for inviting me @pierorivizzigno to #avanzi. Now mr from #voicemap speaking
