        e x i t e m e n t barreled through bones the moment ace’s eyes had opened in the early morning of @vnki‘s birthday. though the dancer’s plan hadn’t EXACTLY gone the way they wanted it to the night before--- ( which hadn’t ended in an unpleasant way, mind you ), they still aimed to keep the rest of it intact. nearly an hour after getting out of bed and pretending to go to work, ace re-entered the apartment shared between the two with a ball of white fluff nuzzled into their arms. the elder had gone on a COUPLE times about how much he would like to have a pet --- and ace had been planning the adoption for a little over a month in advance of the boy’s birthday. today was the day to present their gift --- and they could only hope that jeaki wouldn’t mind at all that the very gift they got was a puppy.

E X H A U S T I O N lined the young boy’s shoulders, mixed with an ache of overused muscles throughout his body --- it was no surprise, really, when a relieved groan escaped slightly parted lips as soon as ace’s body hit his mattress. he couldn’t even remember the last time he had slept properly; it was mostly due to the fact that he hadn’t allowed himself much rest between work and school, but ... another part of it had been missing jeaki whenever he did get himself into bed at a decent hour. it had been weeks since the two had fallen asleep together, and it had definitely caused an irregularity in ace’s sleeping schedule. momentarily, he thought about texting the other boy as he usually did when he was inviting him to come into his room, but exhaustion had him held in place

        ☆.。.:*・❝ adrenaline ran deep in ace’s veins as he continued with steps to the beat, still practicing long after most would’ve had thought to head home. old habits died hard, he supposed, and one of his only reasons to urge him home was in the very room with him --- so really, the dancer had no qualms with anything. bated breaths GREETED lungs as the song came to a close, and the lithe dancer fell to the floor with a rather dramatic t h u d ( something, he hoped, that would grab the other’s attention ). ‘ jeaki, ’ he called out, quieter than he had hoped, the prior motion of his body still robbing him of most breath. ‘ you need to tell me when you get bored, yeah ? otherwise i might make you stay here all night. ’ and although the statement had been stated jokingly, it didn’t seem half as bad to ace as it should have. @vnki

IT HAD BEEN A WEEK since he had left korea, a week since he had been home in his shared apartment ---- and he was exhausted. although the boy wouldn’t admit to such a feeling, it was prevalent by the sag in his shoulders and the dark circles that lined his eyes behind spectacles that rested on the bridge of his nose. but he was finally back from america, nothing but guilt resting in his stomach as he settled his suitcase down in his bedroom. he’d left jeaki so abruptly. even after their kiss --- even after he had gathered up the courage to nearly tell the other how he felt ---- and he just left. he felt like a coward, and most of all, he was worried about how jeaki might feel. slowly, he approached the other’s door, and c a r e f u l l y bore his knuckles down for three soft knocks. ‘ hopefully you aren’t asleep --- i’m home. ’

After bumping into someone for the third time in the past five minutes he stops and sighs loudly. “This sucks, why is there so much people out?” he complained to his friend. He looked around the busy mall, people everywhere. Another sigh, he already felt exhausted. “let’s take a break and get some coffee, my treat as thanks for joining me” he smiled widely. He was really thankful that the other had agreed to join him. The only thing worse than running around a busy mall, literally bumping into every other person looking for Christmas gifts would be doing so alone. Even with great company he felt like he was about to go insane so a break and time to regroup was much needed.
