a hunk arc? easy! so hunks really really smart right? so on the ship hunk has spent a lot of time studying various alien languages and some of it is confusing but he gets most of it for the most part. then when hes off in different planets he can talk to the aliens in their native tongue which makes them feel more comfortable bc instead of speaking in galran they can speak their words and its just. better when you can be yourself more. he learns their different customs and tries to do things their traditional way (he messes up sometimes but still he tries really hard!)
anyways they love hunk bc of the amount of time and effort hes put into making these different planets feel better bc yeah voltron is liberating planets and thats great but hunk goes ahead and takes further initiative to help remind them that they can live without an oppressive regime. that their own individual culture is beautiful. and he also shares abt his culture too not just earth stuff but things specific to him. and together the viewers can see both the aliens/planets confidence building up, their culture being restored and see hunk learning to live w his anxiety but also gaining more trust and confidence himself as well as a deeper appreciation for his community.
