I like to think of this song as relating to my AU with Integra having gone back in time to meet Vlad III.
This is towards the end, after she's realized she can't go home and sticks by him, but knows that in order to not permanently change the course of the future, she cannot be what she fully ends up wanting to be for the warlord.
It also speaks of her worry of his actions towards the end...When he begins killing his own people, and knowing that it will not end well for him. And having to watch it all unfold without doing a thing. She has to essentially hide that she knows his future, but she can't help but hint every once in a while.
