Background: THACCA (Thailand Creative Culture Agency) is a government initiative originally proposed and championed by the Pheu Thai Party to promote the country's soft power across 11 key cultural sectors. One of its most notable grant programs was the 'Grant funding of 220 million baht to support the production of Thai films, dramas, series, documentaries, and animations to promote soft power for the fiscal year 2025'. However, with the change in government from Pheu Thai to Bhumjaithai, THACCA is essentially 'dead' for now but some of its intiated policies have been carried forward through the current government, even if the total amount of funding has decreased (as the Bhumjaithai government has prioritised funding for other matters). This post is to compile the LGBTQ+ and QL series that have been announced to be receiving the same grant program (to promote soft power) for the fiscal year 2026 (Round 1 and Round 2).
