What he doesn't say is that it would save the platform money which they would normally have to pay not only the actors, but the crew, which is really something that gets lost in the fan outrage fearing their favourite actors will be negatively impacted. The crew members will lose as much if not more, with all the work reduced, maybe even their jobs.
