I really like how they're pulling visual irony that speaks of truth around. But how dare you speak of this year (no, of course not) 😅

The scale reads the same number. again. a rat in a grimy apartment cycles through jumping jacks, wilted lettuce, and neon ads for miracle pellets—each ritual promising change but delivering only repetition. gritty 2d animation where earthy tones drown in artificial brightness. diet culture isn't about health; it's about the loop itself.

Nancy Fouts had a knack for creating art that is familiar and strange all at once. Her surrealist creations combined objects together in impossible ways, and shared visual irony in such a simple yet meaningful manner.
