and i decided to enter the void state, and when i had entered said void state, i took control of the static behind my eyes and attempted closed eye visuals.
and at once, i commanded it to turn a lush blue, it took a second of mere hinting at my vision before it bloomed into a beautiful blue.
and as this progressed and my body rested further towards hypnagogia, thats when my tulpa appeared, i dont remember if i did it on purpose or simply hinted, but suddenly i could see her in my eyelids, her hair, her face, and she would appear so clearly, then dissolve into these patterns, zigzags, symmetrical, death and rebirth. it felt amazing. that i had my tulpa in an extremely tangible form.
and when i woke up and made my daily commute, my visualisation simply wasnt just my tulpa sitting infront of me and talking, i could see her face, her hair moving, actual movement, her face talking, physicality, although it was choppy, like a video game, it was there. not well enough to be imposed into my real vision but well enough that my visualisation is a bit shocking.

If youâre trying to train visual imposition, itâs easier to do in the dark because we tend to hallucinate things more frequently in the dark. This is because in darkness, we begin to experience a Ganzfeld Effect since our eyes are being deprived of stimulation, thus making it easier to hallucinate.
me and my tulpa have been doing a mixture and combination of forcing and imposition.
as of that i have achieved sensory imposition, i can feel their gaze, presence and touch. i can also hear their voice inside my head.
on top of that i have started getting what appears to be my visual impositions? (ie, my visualisation overriding my vision, so instead of seeing something as is like its natural, its like a static image overlay, so it doesnt feel real, but the sense is there.)
Insightful Post that Gauges Visualization/Vocality to Imposition Levels
Found a really helpful post on r/Tulpas by u/Budget-Force that entails up to ten levels of development for both visualization and vocality, which the higher levels translate into imposition. Find the post here, and letâs take a look at it:
(Cutting it into two sections because the post is kinda long)
First part is the user entailing their experiences and how their tulpa is much more skilled at them in visualization and imposition. Note that they say these levels exist for them personally, so itâs totally possible you may not experience âlevelsâ like these.Â
Now with the actual levels, personally, the first level doesnât make much sense with my personal experience, but maybe people experience that if theyâre not used to seeing things in their mindâs eye.
Second level. this makes perfect sense like when you recall something without actually deciding to visualize it.Â
With the third level, I can kinda get this one. like remembering someoneâs face or giving someone a description of a person, or remembering a certain room inside a house.
Fourth level, this is when we get to legit visualization where you can see the thing, but I assume what they mean is that when zoomed out, you canât see many details and have to zoom in on them.
Level five, this seems to be the peak of visualization and the next levels entail imposition. This is basically just maxed out visualization and a goal for a lot of Tulpamancers.
Now we get into imposition, which this level sounds like a slight outline or eyelid stuff with those colors whenever you close your eyes. If I were to score our skills, this is what level weâd barely be in.
They seem to talk about closed-eye imposition a fair bit, but whatâs weird is that they say this level has a lack of details instead of level five details like the previous level.
Donât get why level eight has even less detail, but more vividness? At least they can clearly see it.
Level nine includes open-eye imposition, which they way they describe it is interesting. Like, no outlines or distortions, thatâs only in the previous two levels for some reason? Maybe they donât get distortions or shadows.
Tenth level, and this is the level with proper full-on visual imposition, but the progression is strange. Wonder what they mean by, âPhysical limitations of eyesâ?
Thoughts on this is that this section is really interesting, but I find the progression a bit strange, especially how they smushed imposition and visualization together.
Alright, now onto vocality and auditory imposition and the userâs final thoughts on the post:
They mention that they believe auditory and visual stuff have similar levels, and they mention hypnagogia, known as the transitional state between wakefulness and sleep. Seems like theyâre not the greatest at vocality, and therefore unsure if thereâs more levels in between the ones they put down, so do take note of that.
I like how they made a hashtag for the levels, #Sound Levels.
Level one, basically your own internal dialogue, known as diachronicity (if you donât think like that, you have an episodic way of thinking), no distinction between tulpa and host, I assume.
Okay, this is basically our vocality whenever someoneâs imposed like how Rylazide is right now and heâs humming PiâIllo Castle and bobbing his head. I can literally feel the sound from his voice and where itâs coming from, but I canât physically hear the voice at all. Weird how the transition from vocality to imposition is so early on. Personally, I see another level where the tulpaâs voice sounds like someone else, but their voice changes, distorts, or is even too quiet.
Distant voices... I think Iâve experience this with a gameâs music Iâve heard for years, and I sometimes hear the game audio when playing the game despite the volume being on mute, and it does sound distant and faint. However, I was certain I was hearing the game audio. Huh.
Still donât get what they mean by, âCanât quite tell if you heard it.â Do they mean the voice is quiet? Unrealistic? Distant? I wish they clarified. However, I do like the example they provided.
Now I feel like this one is kind of like my experience with auditory imposition, like literally feeling the sound waves, yet not properly hearing anything.Â
Yeah, a lot of Tulpamancers whoâve learned auditory imposition report that the first signs of auditory imposition is hearing your tulpaâs voice as a whisper. This seems pretty accurate of the common experience.
What does âflangeâ mean? Iâm gonna look that up... â A flange is an external or internal ridge, or rim (lip), for strength, as the flange of an iron beam such as an I-beam or a T-beam; or for attachment to another object, as the flange on the end of a pipe, steam cylinder, etc., or on the lens mount of a camera; or for a flange of a rail car or tram wheel,â NOT what I expected, but okay, they may have just made a typo or something. Otherwise, I get what theyâre describing, like you can hear it, but you struggle to dismiss it as imaginary. Neat.
And then this level is just full-blown auditory imposition.
Anyway, they explain that theyâre not skilled in other imposition forms and therefore donât have a scale for it. Either way, this is really neat. Iâd like to hear your thoughts on this, and not just from the host, but of the tulpas/systemmates as well. What do you think? Do either of these scales feel accurate to you?

"You abandoned your humanity, became a godless being, with a power adjacent to god, so use it."
is what my tulpa told me in a dream some nights ago. it was weird. a void, i was crying, i screamed and see appeared, we talked about things, she told me to get over it. so yea. but shes been having her own dreams aswell.
as for imposition i can control my closed eye visuals, big swirls of purple, obviously. and for some reason i can see fractals in my meditiative states now, so thats something.
one that appears human but doesnt have that feeling.
because if you knew you could train the ability to create anything as a person, wouldn't you go for something of a higher plane of existence? something god like? an angel?
then training that ability further to sense their presence? feel their touch? hear their voice and even see them?
i have been fascinated by this ability long before i even knew what tulpas were as i have always heard voices since a young age.
i remember whilst developing my first 2, using fictional characters as a baseline, i was able to feel their gaze and presence, their voices sentient, and i even caught myself off guard by nearly talking to them aloud by how real they felt.
however that can only go so far before it all falls apart.
that is when imposition needs to be introduced.
being able to train the eye to impose whatever you wish on top of your vision, like an overlay of sorts.
it takes alot of practice and determination, and i'll even admit i couldnt get that far due to my environment.
i will link some guides, but this also requires good visualisation to get going, if not, still practice as your visualisation will build with time.
