LEAD

Lead is a highly toxic metal, and its absorption can cause a wide range of serious health issues collectively known as lead poisoning. For decades, it was commonly used in the production of small-diameter drinking water pipes and various household materials.

Although officially banned since 1948, lead can still be found in many older buildings and everyday items—including teapots, pottery, decorative figurines, solder used in tin cans, colored pencils, and fishing or hunting weights. In construction, it was also widely used to seal balconies and window sills.

Asbestos Removal

Asbestos is a naturally occurring mineral once valued for its exceptional resistance to heat, fire, and chemical damage. These properties led to its widespread use throughout the 20th century in various industrial and construction applications.

However, asbestos is now recognized as a highly toxic substance. Inhalation of its microscopic fibers can cause severe and often fatal health conditions. Although its use has been banned since 1997, asbestos remains present in many older buildings and installations.
