The undeniable visual beauty of this scene
No matter what you think about Gossip Girl, or about Chair you can't deny the visual beauty of this scene.
I mean it's beautiful story wise but even if you were to take out the whole love story aspect, forget all that you know and would look at it as a picture you would stop by it and admire it.
I mean the colors, the warmth of the lights in the background. The train station representing movement and transition in life. And this two people who look so different, her in a beautiful gown and him in simple street cloths. They look as if they were taken from two different stories, as if they didn’t belong in the same place and yet the way this shot is constructed, the way they look at each other, their body language, the symmetry of them, it tells you the whole story. You know that there's some tragic and yet beautiful history between them, you know that this exactly where the two of them should be. You’re drown to it, you want to know more.
This scene is like a poetry. And I’ll always be saying that it’s one of the most beautifully shot scenes in the history of teen dramas.
