Station 1 - Observe
My group didn’t have enough time to do this station so I decided to go on a walk myself and try to find letters in different spaces.

Station 4 - Manipulation
Station 4 - Manipulate
I love how chic these letters look due to the combination of the two opposite thicknesses.

Station 5 - Appropriate
I brought a chain and some hoops to uni to use them for creating my letterforms.
The most successful, in my opinion, is the work in the centre, for which I used cardboard triangles and black ink. It’s very abstract, but the combination of different arrangements of triangles depicts the letters in a readable way.

Station 3 - Shapes
These grid systems helped me to push my letterforms even further as they provided greater accuracy. I tried making letters of varying thickness, sharpness and roundness.
Station 2 - Create
This station was one of my favourite as I experimented with big brushes and ink. I tried to be as brave as I could and play with different angles and strokes. For one of the pieces I used duct tape and ink to create messy letter shapes.
Intervention + Interpretation Workshop
I really enjoy workshops in the studio as they give me more inspiration and motivation to explore and try out various materials.
