I finished my first virtual 5k this month: quest for the lost scroll! I'm floored at the quality of this medal! My finish time was around 45 minutes, and after submitting, I got this in the mail within the week! Head over to Virtual strides to participate!
I earned my Fun in the Sun medal for a 13.1 Mile Virtual race on VirtualStrides.com. It’s a very cool (and heavy!) medal!
I have to say, I’m not as keen on VirtualStrides as I am on yes.fit. You have to get all your miles in on VS and then go in and post it, where on Yes.Fit they keep track of your race for you as you go and let you know how much is left to do. With VS you have to figure that out yourself. I guess VS is more suited for people who do these races in one go, instead of people like me who break them up over a few days.
Anyway, it’s a cool medal.
Virtual races seemed silly to me, then I started doing them...
