Also like, it’s a game and they wanna have fun. Honestly I’m so excited to get some lore instead of like a prison arc. I feel like this is going to push the story in another direction and I’m really excited!!!
IM ALSO SUPER EXCITED! i was just commenting elsewhere that vm had a similar turning point just before the stream started, by doing a huge favor for the emon royalty and suddenly being regarded as heroes and how that turned things around for them.... around this same level too!!
although the nein probably cant afford a keep in ghor dranas LOL but i feel like Suddenly this group of dipshits just accidentally fell into becoming highly regarded by a nation’s royalty that almost none of them had ever even been to before and... they’re in a way better position to release yeza than they wouldve been doing some kind of prison breakout scenario like travis was suggesting, lol!
also, like, the only person outside of that room that knew they had the beacon was yussah, who is so like. out of the picture in terms of tattling on them to the empire lol.
plus whenever a dm says “WELL I HAVE SOME STUFF TO PREPARE NOW” i am full of glee because that often makes for some amazing stuff to follow, led by player choices. it happened in the first season of friends at the table too where the players just did something totally unexpected and that was when i got really hooked on it...
