Puppy wants humiliating tasks.

Puppy wants you to be mean.

Puppy will be mean too.

But sometimes puppy just needs you to push past all of his no's and boundaries, say the sickest things just to hear the whines and crying.

Brand my skin and rearrange my guts until I feel like new again, never thinking of how scared I am but only how beautifully it hurts.

Just fucking kill me already

I'm not a violent dog,

I dont know why I bite.

I'm truly full of love,

But also deeply full of spite.

When I scream,

"Do not touch me!"

Or a harsh "Stay away!"

It's because I worry for your safety that I react this way.

One moment we're together,

Everything's nice.

All it takes is one offhanded comment,

After all, I'm already poised to bite.

My walls are a defensive line,

And I keep my lines tight.

Even with the ones I love,

I can't prevent myself from snapping,

Try as I might.

You could say I'm the definition of

"Can't take you nowhere"

I bark and I growl and I make a big scene

But all of this is truly to protect my peace

And some say I'm loud, and I'm rash, and I'm mean

But you've never really been where I've been, nor seen what I've seen.

And for that, I am grateful.

For no one had to see

The struggle and pain it took to find my peace.

If anyone had to suffer,

I'm glad it was me.

No one is truly mean, or brash, or crass.

Violent, we are not, I assure you of that

We're all just dogs of different breeds, different environments, different sights

We've all lived different lives and fough different fights

Why this made me who I am, there's a lot I could argue

But in the end, there's only one defense I can say with might
