flashback
A teenage boy stood in a graduation cap and gown on the day of his graduation. He was waiting in line as commencement was about to happen. He could hear the cheers of the crowds as other kids passed by.
He saw his parents waiting in the bleachers…… With his brother. They all looked so damn proud of him.
He had come a long way and been through a lot of things to get to this moment. The moment where he could hear his dad’s words echoing in his mind. Where he could remember the tears in his mother’s eyes as she realized her little boy had grown up to be a man.
The day they both seemed to look forward to since he started school and to hear his little brother say.. “I wanna be just like you, Vincent.” Which brought such a good feeling to him.
And as he crossed the stage he heard his father’s voice in the back of his mind as he had just said that about thirty minutes ago. “Son, you have made me so proud.” He took a steady breath as he accepted his diploma and then re assembled with the other students.
This was an incredible moment.
"Flashback"
It was night time and a family could be seen going out to a clearing in an old station wagon. Once the vehicle was parked the two children got out, one slightly older and the other so tiny, so young yet eager to get out there and play about the wildflowers.
The mother and father set to work grabbing out picnic blankets smiling while setting up the area which would soon be the place they ate supper together.
“They are having so much fun honey..” The father remarked as he puts one of the blankets down.
“I know just look at them, the seem so interested in nature. I think our boys are going to have so much fun tonight considering all the fireflies are due to start coming out tonight. “ The mother replied and then chuckled as one of the two kids started trying to catch one of the flying insects.
“Vinny! Vinny look I caught one!” A slightly still toddler Richie was seen holding one.
“Yes you did! Momma look what Richie caught his first firefly!” The older boy called out excitedly.
“Oh okay boys come and eat. Remember what dad had taught you, you have to make a wish and let it go.” The mother called and coaxed them forward. Which she smiled as her kids listened to her. It was a happy moment.
What’s funny is his hair was due to a chemical change but his eyes were naturally light purple. Try to figure that one out. Lol.
