Interior with Young Woman Seen from the Back by Vilhelm Hammershøi ca.1903-04, Denmark. There was a BBC article written last year where the journalist wrote that Hammershøi's painting are disturbing and lacking warmth and comfort. I read the article twice and I still couldn't understand we're talking about the same artist since I see his world completely different and the silence for example on this image is beyond comforting to me.
