3 Big Tips: Viewing Ready
Homes are selling quickly along the SF Peninsula - and not the same way they have in the past! Without open houses to generate interest and visibility, the broker-guided viewing of a home is more important than ever when creating first impressions with potential buyers. Here are a few tricks to be viewing-ready at all times!
1. Dazzling First Impression - Your curb appeal is important! You can brighten your house's external aesthetic by power washing siding and walkways, pruning back plants, updating house numbers, painting your front door, and using bright accent lights.
2. Careful Room Edits - It is easy to say "clear the clutter", but just what goes and what stays? Clear the counters and table tops and add back minimal accents such as a candle or decorative books. Clear out toys and hobbies - even well organized, the bright colors can be distracting. Arrange furniture away from walls to create intimate spaces and enhance the lighting in all rooms.
3. Highlight Storage - Efficient storage is extremely desirable to just about any buyer. Draw attention to your house's storage with well-organized closets (clothes and linens arranged by color is a huge plus!), half-full cabinets (think: kitchen and bathroom), and a cleared-out garage.
Some well-planned steps can keep your house ready to view at all times.
