I had made most of the sequences used in Synth Night in '87:

In one big batch during the Q1 betatest using img-to-video with start and stop frames. I'd do sets of 4 clips linking various images and save those organized by start/endpoint, allowing me to make 'paths' between reference points that could weave in and out.

For It's Bismuth, Baby, I wanted something that followed the song more closely.

I started with the song itself, made with Suno's new V4.5 model, which is a huge jump up in a lot of ways. The song was an experiment I'd cobbled together from two sets of AI genned lyrics (If I made the lyrics it's "Trent and the DeepDreamNights Robot Band", if they're AI lyrics, it's just the band that gets credited.) as a prompting test and I liked the result.

I put the song down in premiere and began generating clips from a series of AI generated and photoshopped/composited bismuth images, laying them down section by section.

This process was slower, as I had to wait for gens, but for a more interesting video that's worth it.

While I wasn't able to smooth out every transition, I minimized them by use of zoom-and-panning, blurring and brightening/darkening keyframes, and a lot of speed adjustments. Vidu's clips tend to ramp up and wind down at the start and ending for image-to-video gens, so careful slicing and re-scaling them helps keep the pace semi-stable.

In all, around 90 clips were used, as most of the 5-second Q1 gens were sped up overall once their momentum was normalized.
