Video projection mapping. This was a great workshop for me. Without doing this workshop I wouldn’t have gone to it for my project but now I think I have a new avenue for my project. It was very interesting and new. I’m happy with my choice from this weekend.
Video projection mapping. We learned how to use mad mapper (navigating the GUI and importing images/videos), how to use a projector and how to source high resolution images.
It was great fun in all fairness

artist research : dave miko and tom thayer
artist duo who, for their exhibition titled ‘baseless legion of architects rent asunder’ , project collaboratively worked animations onto mixed media paintings made on aluminium. motifs from thayers heavily processed animation carry over and derive from the surfaces of miko’s paintings, where coloured light of the projection reacts differently to each media.
i really enjoy the bright colours and vividness of this work, and especially think the way they handle video projection mixed with traditional painting is very innovative, and something i would like to incorporate into my project.
