You're the one who shot me:Chapter three
Im sorry this Chapter was so late :( i hope you like it though :)Â
-Vic's third person point of view-               Vic left the bar in a daze. He didnât even know how to feel anymore. He wanted to be mad, he wanted to feel angry. How could Jack treat him like that and he just took it all of the time? How could he blatantly abuse his power over him, did he not understand the delicacy of Vicâs situation? He didnât know what he was messing with, yet why couldnât Vic do anything? He could very easily stop him, but a part of Vic still loved Jack, a part of him still doesnât want to let him go. He wanted to feel something, anything but he was so emotionally drained that he only felt numb.
He walked slowly with his head down, almost mesmerized by the road below him.  He stopped by an abandoned building he and Mike used to play tag in as kids. As he looked at the old building he began his slideshow of memories. The first apartment on the first floor was the one they always went to, it was furnished with old chairs and couches, a random stove in the middle of the kitchen with pots and pans, a small closet and a queen sized bed. The rest of the floors were barren so they always played in that first floorâs ancient apartment. He smiled at the memory, he and his brother would spend countless hours in there playing tag, hide and seek and whatever else they could imagine whether it be sword fights with the broken pieces of wood or the  try not to touch the floor game. However, he distinctly remembers his mother telling him when he couldnât go anymore. It was the day his mother found a needle stuck to Mikeâs back. She checked them for any others, took them to the doctor and told them not to go back there.
âOnly the bad childrens go in there, and you my boys are not bad childrens.â Their mother said in her Mexican accent cupping their cheeks.Â
They promised their mom they wouldnât go back, even though they didnât understand at that moment what it meant. It wasnât until their later teen years that they did go back. Mike went with girls and Vic went for other things, things his mother had warned him about and so much more.
âIâm glad mama canât see who I am now.â thought Vic to himself. âShe would be so disappointed in what her son had become.â
He debated going in the building, as he had such a strong connection to it. He decided he would go in, for maybe only a couple minutes. He walked in, he realized immediately the old stove was gone. It was his favorite place to hide because it faced the window, even though he always got caught by his brother the beautiful sunlight rays through the little window in the stove made it worthwhile. He walked around the apartment and other than the missing stove; everything seemed to be the same. He sat on the couch and looked at the ceiling for a while, his heart swelling with emotions from being, basically, in his second childhood home. He was about ready to fall asleep when he heard noises coming from the closet. He looked at it and thatâs when he saw a pair of brown eyes looking back at him. Vic felt his heart stop and prepared himself to run or fight.  All of a sudden he saw who it was and he rolled his eyes, he didnât have time for this.  As he was about to walk out but the man talked to him.
âSup bro I havenât seen you since you left Mexicoâ
âYeah Phil Iâve been around, here and there how about you?â
âBeen good, good. You know Tinoâs still looking for you right, he still wants his moneyâ Phil was shaking; Vic assumed he just got finished getting high in that closet. Phil was a good friend of Vicâs from his past; he was about 5â10 and thin, way too thin to be healthy, tan skin and a high male pitched Hispanic voice. Phil was a good person but Vic wasnât about to go back to the lifestyle Phil still lives, not again.
âTell Tino he can kiss my ass I paid him everything I owe him, tell him Iâm outâ
âOkay amigo but you know heâs not going to leave you alone until he gets what he wants. Iâll try to get him to focus on other things ya know las cosas importantes.â Phil said with a wink.
âYeah I know, but I know what he wants and Iâm not doing it again. Â I gotta go, I have cosas importantes of my ownâ Vic said sternly.
âYo bro! You sure you donât want some blow before you leave man. Itâs fucking amazing, straight from Jessieâs houseâ
Vic stopped and struggled, he wanted it so bad but he knew he couldnât. It took all of his will power to say âNah its okay i'm goodâ and keep walking.
He walked out of the building, the cold night air hitting his face once again. He sighed loudly and kept walking away from the bar, the apartment and all of his worries. He walked for about 6 blocks until he heard a piercing cry from two blocks ahead. "Help, someone please help!" He didn't know why he went to help; he could have let whatever happened, happen. He had problems of his own, but Vic had a conscience and he couldn't stop his feet from taking off in a sprint towards the voice. He stopped in front of a dark alley between two other abandoned apartment buildings. The only thing he could make out were two sky blue teary eyes looking back at him and then he saw why he was crying. "Touch him and Iâll fucking kill you." he said in the menacing tone he had perfected over the years. "And what if I do? What are you going to do you little bitch." That's when he got closer, exposing himself and the boy. Whoever he was, he was big, a lot bigger than Vic with a black ski mask over his face. The only thing he could see was two black eyes and the knife held at another manâs throat. The man seemed to be a little younger than Vic and looked oddly familiar. He was ghost pale with jet black hair and his eyes were a beautiful sky blue that reminded Vic of summer afternoons. His eye lids were red like he had been crying for a long time but even through the tears and his scared expression he was honestly he was one of the most beautiful boys Vic had ever seen. Vic pushed the other man against a wall, causing him to let go of the younger boy. Vic managed to pull the knife out of his hand but cutting himself in the process. Pain was something Vic was used to so this didnât stop him. He put the knife in his pocket when the other man punched Vic in the face, and that's when Vic turned around and grabbed both of the manâs hands. He twisted them until he heard the âCRACKâ he was waiting for, he knew he broken his wrists. The man cried out in pain but Vic wasnât done yet, he pushed the man against the wall and kicked him in the balls as hard as he could. The man dropped to the floor in front of him, Vic kneed him in the face and he was knocked out.
Vic sighed loudly, to hurt someone was always tiring but he was content, he got the anger he wanted and he took it out on another low life this half of the city could do without. He felt proud of himself yet also a pang of sadness when he remembered where he had learned to do that. He walked over to the pale boy who was sitting in fetal position on the floor. Vic got on his knees in front of him and touched his shoulder, he was shaking violently. He inspected him quickly with his eyes to look for signs that he was hurt. "Hey are you okay, did he hurt you?â
The boy looked up at him, his eyes were wide and Vic knew that look. It was the look people always gave him after seeing what he could do, the look of pure fear that normally resulted in people running away from him. The boy didnât run however, he extended his arms pulling Vic into a hug.
âYes iâm fine, more than fine. Thank you so fucking much, youâre awesome!â the boy said with a smile.
Vic was in utter shock, he was completely frozen. âUm, no problemâ Vic said awkwardly embracing the shaking boy.
âOh my god your handâŠâ said the boy looking down at Vicâs bloody hand.
"Itâs just a scratch, Iâll be fine" Vic said with a firm yet uncertain voice. In reality it was a huge gash down his hand which was still bleeding crimson rivers.
"Iâm just glad you are okay"
"Yeah I'm fine, but you don't look fine" he said seriously âthereâs a hospital up the street, we should go and get your hand checked out".
"No!" Said Vic spontaneously "um I mean thanks for your concern but I have bandages and stuff back at my place".
"I'll go with you" the boy said with determination âItâs the least I can do, youâve helped me so much I want to at least go with you and make sure you go home alrightâ
Vic smiled, this boy was actually concerned for him, he must be new around here. "I live pretty far from here, probably like 20 blocks"
âI want to make sure youâre okay.â said the boy with a stern voice; Vic could tell he was determined to stay. Â
They walked with Vic trying to make small talk; he learned the strange boys name was Kellin. It was obvious by the boyâs looks and actions he wasn't from around here. He walked straight but with his head down. He smiled at Vic but he also carried an aura of sadness. Vic was so intrigued by this boy but he was also weary of him, he seemed so fucking familiar and Vic couldn't tell from where.
"So what were you doing out so late Kellin, especially around here"
"I could ask you the same thing" he said with that smile! It was so disarming and just beautiful Vic couldnât help but laugh.
âI asked you first!â said Vic childishly
âI asked you second!â Kellin said just as childishlyÂ
âFineâ Vic said shoving Kellin lightly. âI just wanted to go for a walk, clear my head. I couldnât stay where I was for much longer, too much stress ya know.â Vic said looking back at Kellin. âYour turn.â
âSame reason but I guess it is kind of obvious iâm not from around hereâ said Kellin looking around laughingâ Wow iâm really far from where I live. I live in the city but iâm from Michigan.â
âWhy made you decide to come to Cali?â
âLong story but basically I moved here with a friend to get away from small town life.â
âI understand, I left for a while but, I missed it. Thereâs no place like homeâ Vic said smiling nostalgically.
âThatâs for sure.â Kellin almost whispered.
Vic looked at Kellin who seemed to be out in his own imagination. They spend the rest of the way talking and laughing. Kellinâs sad aura seemed to be disappearing; they didnât even notice that Vicâs hand had stopped bleeding. Vic looked up suddenly and realized he was right in front of the bar.
âWeâre hereâ Vic said gesturing to Mayhem with his eyes.
âMayhemâ said Kellin to himself. âCool name, is this yours?â
âYup itâs my bar slash apartment and band studioâ Vic said happily âWanna come in?â
âThatâs Awesome.â Said Kellin looking at the giant neon Mayhem sign âSure Iâd love toâ Â
Vicâs heart skipped a beat as he opened the door for his beautiful stranger.
