The pre race selfie. Kind of a last minute decision to run today as we had a different race in mind. But glad i got to run this as i got to run through a second time for a fun run with some awesome people. Originally supposed to run at 8 but didn't get to run till sometime after that. Lungs and legs were in point for me today. Missed the spear and the bucket gsve me some issues..... got to get in them dead lifts this week. 1hr 17mins to the finish and i pushed the whole time hoping to get back in time to run with my friends. Well i missed them, so i figured i was done for the day then @brutalchic said they only left about ten mins earlier. So back to the corrale i went. Reset the watch and headed back out. Found them on a switchback in the course about a little under a mile in, cut a portion of the course out and stayed with them the rest of the time. #spartanracewdc #teamheathen #mile11 #vibrampowered #garmin

Cause what else do you do after a #trifecta weekend?😁 I had absolutely no expectation on this run except to get a couple miles in, MAYBE, and stretch my calf out. Then it turned into finding hills and trying not to retrace to much of my route. Locked into an 8:45 pace and breathing like i was walking. Times like This make me fell like an actual runner. 😀 This is rare but I'm hoping i can keep this up to Killington so my legs have some sense of endurance on that mountain. Right now licking windows is probably better training than what I've put in in the past week.
